Yay! That's great news! We look forward to seeing you. We'll buy your dinner one night in honor of your becoming one of the SMT tribe since your last visit. No roasted Ewok, we promise.
A bonus for SW fans? I like the sound of that.

Awesome! Would that bonus for SW fans have anything to do with the "something big" that Dark Horse is cooking up for next year?

That's terrific, John. We were hoping you'd be able to make it!! Carlin said you guys go way back, so there was a little flicker there, anyway.
Yeah, you know us, we'll make sure you're not bored!
I need to catch up on all my KOTOR! And I've got to make a t-shirt, so I can remain one of the girls.

Middle school, actually. I never knew he was into comics -- though I should have, as he was good friends with one of my fandom partners in crime (who drove me to my first Midsouthcon, eons ago). I named a comet after the two of them in Iron Man.

That's awesome. That reminds me, I need to go get the Ironman DVD.
There's been a lot of announcements here lately on the movies Marvel is working on. The new Thor is going to be produced by Kenneth Brannaugh. I loved his adaption of Hamlet. I actually saw it in college for a Lit class.

John said he'd name something after me in a comic, but there are words he can't say in a comic book, especially when grouped together like that.
It's OK, John, there's always Nicki and Traci. You can name stuff after them. I don't mind.

The naming thing is something we try to avoid -- especially in days where every minor character gets an encyclopedia entry, whatever the universe. A lot of legal stuff there. I haven't done anything like that in a long time.
I can name anybody anything in my webcomic — no trademark problems there. But I doubt you'd want to have a duck named after you!

I actually had an online friend in Australia name a duck after me. He's really cute, though!

Awww... I was hoping to have a deaf-mute one-eyed, one-legged dwarf Rakghoul named after me.
Did I mention it has a mullet?

Wow, that would be a mutant mutant! Ooo, and it should be that if he bites you, you don't turn into a Rakghoul, you turn into a fat guy with scruffy facial hair, bad BO, a mullet, too small flannel shirt, and a rusty shotgun. And his name is "Big Bill."

Why would a Rakghoul turn someone into an armed Con attendee?

That would be so awesome- but "Lin/Lindsay The Duck" just doesn't have a ring to it. "Linny" might work...
I've noticed a lot of little Easter eggs in comics recently, especially for the Comic Geek Speak guys. Their logo and names appear in comics here and there (espeacially ones done by Mike Norton, Freddie Williams II, and Morry Hollowell), and the logo is even on an exit sign in the Iron Man movie. Today I saw Mike Carlin (DC executive editor) as a security guard on the cover of a Batman comic, and he's appeared in other Batman and Superman comics.
The closest I've come is showing up in a Jetta comic with some of the other Memphis Mafia.
We quickly get our butts kicked by Jetta! At least I got the comic page. (Check out the Muley tattoo on Kev's arm.)
Dave did name Mikah after his wife Micah, and we made her costume purple because that's Micah's favorite color.
We really don't have to worry about TM problems with her. First, since they're married she owns half anyway, and second- no money in suing poor people!

Have we had any luck getting in touch with the 501st or RL?
