Did anybody see American Idol tonight? I don't usually watch it, but I caught a few minutes in the break room at work. This girl tried out wearing Princess Leia hair buns, some black & silver costume that she'd worn to C 4, and a big ol' belt that said STAR WARS. Her interview was all about her being a SW fan and a "dork" (that's what she called herself) and she said something to the judges about "M-class planets in Star Trek". 
And she couldn't sing.
But, when she got turned down, she acted a FOOL, calling people on her cell phone and cussing and saying it was because they didn't want "dorks" and Star Wars fans to be on American Idol and something about C 4. She lost me there.
It was, um, truly a proud moment for the fandom.

Oh, it gets worse. Apparently Idol had more plants in it tonight than a production of "Little Shop of Horrors".
The hairy dude from CIV that was dressed as Slave Leia was on, too. And they did a segment where they waxed his chest and sent him back out.
Kevin called me and told me to watch. Damn you, George Lucas! I freakin' HATE that show with a passion, but one damned Star Wars reference and here I am watching it.
People are always bombing on that show.
When is someone going to suicide-bomb?
I'm going to hell for saying that, aren't I?
Nah, maybe not. This is the show, after all, that gave us Ryan Seacrest, Clay Aiken, and Taylor Hicks.

I usually don't watch American Idol during the auditions, so I'm glad I missed that. I'm still recovering from watching the Memphis auditions last season. I was so proud.

Yeah... I had to edit the Muley short that Kev filmed during the Idol auditions in Memphis. There were some really, really baaaaaad folks there.

I mentioned this over on the Regional Discussion board, but would any of our photoshop'ers like to try their hand at making a new banner for the SouthEast region? I know Rhonda and Nicki have made banners in the past. We could even use one of them and just change the wording.
