	Have you recently been writing a story that seems to deal exclusively with Humans? Getting tired of the same old aliens of the movies? Well, look here for inspiration! This thread is for writers who've come up with an alien species all their own that they really like & are willing to share. Of course, if you use one of the species listed here, it would be nice for you to advertise this thread for a while... 	Name of Species: Chattan Meaning of Name: Clan of the cats Homeworld: Chattan Origin: (I'm not really clear what you mean by this) Government System:They have classes: Surfs, Lords ect... Are They Extinct?:No Physical Description: Short, sleek fur covers their entire body and the color of the fur indicates of clan they belong to. They have long pointed ears that arch back to behind their head and big narrow eyes. Mental Description: They can be force sensative but it is very rare. They are good with numbers. They can be easily irritated and when they become stressed they shed. 	Type of Species: Sentient Beings Name of Species: The Viylians (aka The Hybrids) Meaning of Name: The Force-Winged Homeworld(s): None; scattered throughout the galaxy, but the bulk have settled on Sorla, a planet in the Melida/Daan system. Origin: They were genetically engineered from human embryos centuries before the Prequel Trilogies. Originally, the Scolsichaz, an extremely fascist group of Humans, designed the hybrids to be a perfect army. Unfortuneately, the hybrids had too much free will and the Scolsichaz (SS for short) launched a campaign of killing. They almost succeeded in a genocide of the entire species, but Jedi Masters Qui-Gon Jinn & Tahl and Padawan Obi-Wan Kenobi saved them. A few hundred escaped and went to Sorla where they number in the low hundred thousands. Government System: The Viylians are classified into clans by their wing color. When a female of the red-winged clan marries to a male of the blue-winged clan, the female's wing color unexplainably changes to blue. The leaders of the government are the matriarch and patriarch of the rainbow-colored clan. Then, the matriarch & patriarch of the major color clans serves as the King & Queen's advisors. Are They Extinct?: no Physical Description: Viylians are remarkably humaniod in many ways. They do have a bit of a greenish or bluish tone to their skin, but they can blend easily with a Human crowd. On their back are two neat, perfect sets of wings. The wings themselves are very insect-like, almost like dragonfly wings, with little veins criss-crossing their translucent surface. Their eye color is relatively the same as Humans, but they have the whole range of colors, including orange, red, & yellow. Mental Description: All Viylians can sense the Force (they call it the "Energy"), but very few can manipulate it. They are very perceptive & learn twice as fast as Humans. Special Powers: If they summon the Force to themselves, the Viylians can cry blood and brign back the dead. However, this is a very, very rare gift. Other than that, their only other power is the ability to fight. Other: The Viylians are very good friends with the Jedi, since the Jedi saved them. However, they hold a grudge against the Republic & the Senate especially for refusing to do anything about the genocide started by the SS, and, when the Senate finally did something, they didn't send enough support to pull it off. Subsequently, they have rejected every offer by the Senate to join the Republic, preferring their free life on the Outer Rim. -----signature----- "Maybe 's all we were, y'know? 	This is a very good Idea Padawan!!! I think this could be very helpful to someone who might not want to think up a new species and is not happy with what we originally had from Authorized Fanfic. Anyway, here goes: Name of Species: Feuera Meaning of Name: Homeworld(s): Fuogo, in the Firrerre System Origin: Genetic Cousins to the Firrerreo. Government System: Democratic (at this point, liable to change ) Although segmented into clans. Are They Extinct?: No Physical Description: Humanoid. Bi-coloured hair. Colour changing eyes depending on mood. Mental Description: Average Human Mental Capasity and Rationale. Some born Force-Sensative/Telepathic. Special Powers: No significant special powers Other information: Multiple births occur fequently. Twins always have strong mental link, in some cases it is as if the two share one single mind. Capable of seeing through the other. Their culture strongly believes in 'naming.' Most people are given names from parents that are 'common' names. It is when two people "soul-give" that another name is given to another. This 'soul-name' is similar to a bond of marriage, signifying that once a name is bestowed the giver is bound to that person for the rest of their life. ALso, no one else is permitted to use the 'soul-name' except for by the person who gave it. (I hope that made some sense. It's late and I've had a long day. Homeworld(s): Nehgari (near Togoria) Origin: Evolved Cat-like Race Government System: Caste System/Tribes Are They Extinct?: No Physical Description: More humanoid than feline. Few features are cat like. Mostly hands, legs and nose portion of face. Along with 'canine teeth.' However their face is slender and long like a human's not so round. Mental Description: Rather intelligent. Some can be Force Sensative. Special Powers: None that I know of yet. ******* Name of Species: Jzenjzihn Meaning of Name: ? Homeworld(s): TBD Origin: TBD Government System: none really. Family Packs. Are They Extinct?: Almost, they are being hunted by another race on their planet(TBD) Physical Description: Bipedal/Humanoid Peach-like fuzz covering entire body. Mostly a handsome race. Mental Description: Average Intelligence (Possibility of Force-Sensativity but very, very, very rare) Special Powers: None that I know of. Other Information: Thier Jestation is only 6 months. One woman can have up to 6 children in one litter, although it is not done very often. Mostly a litter of 3 or 4 at a time. Can only begin reproducing after the age of 30 cycles. Able to produce a litter once every 2 years. As I develop the different species a little more, I will update them here. 	Name of Species: Dyosen Homeworld: Ohage Origin: Do to their humanoid nature and lack of physical evidence as to their evolution on Ohage, coupled with a distinct cultural system and relativly small population leads anthropologists to conclude that the group did not originate on Ohage, but came to the world sometime several thousand years ago, perhaps by means of colinization or a crashed ship. Are they extict?: No Physical Description: Humanoid, usually long-limbed and lanky, with wide varieties of skin, eye, and hair color as well as facial structure. Mental Description: Do to their unique age/maturity-grade system of individual social growth, education of younger members is self-paced, making knowledge accessible to each member. This dynamic facilitates learning and leads to a population with a high intelligence quotient. Special Powers: None. This group is an original anthropological study and isn't to be used in a fanfic story as of yet. 	Name of Species: Astrans Homeworld: Astrus Origin: Astrus is supposed to be a core world in the Hapes cluster, and the Royal family themselves are related to the Prince Isolder. Prince Xon is Isolder's cousin, and Xon's daughter's name is Astra. They have a royal family like Hapes but their family is only secondary to the throne. Princess Astra, like her cousin Tenel Ka is a Jedi Princess but more elegeant and shy than Tenel and less of a warrior. Are they extict?: No Physical Description: Humanoid. 	Name of Species: Septra Meaning of Name: Good question. On a related note, all male Septra names end in 'yar' and all female Septra names end in 'ya', which mean 'serpent' and 'little serpent', respectively. Homeworld(s): Septera Origin: Near humans that evolved on the beautiful world of Septera, the Septra developed small fangs and deadly venom as a defense against predators. An advanced larynx allows them to make a wide variety of vocalizations. Government System: Democracy Are They Extinct?: Extinct? No, but almost unheard of off Septera. Physical Description: Externally identical to humans in every way, and almost identical internally as well, the only difference being their small, barely noticable 'fangs', which are actually specialized canines. Septra fangs, even on close inspection, appear to be little more then human canines, only more pointed, however, they are far sharper than they look. Mental Description: Generally quite intelligent and genial. All Septra have a craving, like hunger, for physical contact, a holdover from a now forgotten system of complex, intimate social habits. Special Powers: Not really a 'power', but the ability to envenomate other creatures by biting them or by putting their venom filled saliva in contact with an opponent's skin. These sharp, pointed canines have lead to widespread myths that Septra feed by sucking the blood of other creatures, much like the creatures of many folk tales, but this is untrue. As with Barabels, Septra greatly respect Jedi. The most important Septra holiday, Jedia, celebrates the first arrival of the Jedi on Septera. Name of Species: Drungi AKA 'Dread Mercenaries' Meaning of Name: Unknown Homeworld(s): Drung Origin: A warlike species of humanoids, rarely seen not swathed in black hoods and veils. Ferocious fighters, the Drungi imploy archaic weaponry and will take up arms for anybody, againt anybody, for the right price. Government System: Unknown Are They Extinct?: No Physical Description: What has been seen of the Drungi indicates that they are mottled blue in color, roughly human in features. Mental Description: Not to be underestimated simply because they slash first and ask questions never, the Drungi can plan and execute expert ambushes, even able to catch a jedi by surprise. Special Powers: Rather strong, astonishing jumpers. Name of Species: Vaka Meaning of Name: Unknown Homeworld(s): Unknown Origin: Mysterious saurians from the Unknown Regions, very little is known about the Vaka's origins, culture, or home, assuming they have one. Government System: Unknown Are They Extinct?: No Physical Description: Tall, muscular saurians with powerful jaws, large teeth, and small, but sharp, black eyes. Grayish green in color with pronounced ridges over their eyes, the Vaka are always seen wearing full armor of a dark bronze color. Each suit of armor is unique, and covers the entire body from head to clawed feet. Mental Description: Highly intelligent and advanced, the Vaka enjoy simply watching galactic events. 	Sure, CC. Feel free to use the Septra. If you want more specs on the Septra or Septera, just say so. Thought I should add this. A major issue and plot point I have to deal with as a result of the Septra venom thing is the fact that they can't kiss. 	Hey CC, some basic points on Septra: -Septra are externally indistinguishable from humans and on average stand about 1.8 meters tall. -Septra cannot make oral contact with another living creature without risk of killing said creature. -The Septra craving for physical contact is like hunger, it can be only be shrugged off for so long before it becomes overwhelming. Septra furniture is upholstered in synthskin, which allows Septra to go about their daily lives comfortably. -Septra skin and eye colors run the same spectrum as humans. Hair, however, does not. Fair haired Septra went exticnt ages ago. -Septra have a weak immune system, and as a result get ill easily off their homeworld. -Female Septra purr upon recieving physical contact. -Septra have an advanced larynx which allows them to speak almost any language with ease. They can also make a variety clicks, whistles, purrs, trills, growls, and hisses. -Septra believe in the well being others first and themselves second.
