Title:
Han Alone
Author:
Knight-Ander
Era:
OT, AU
Status:
In Progress
Summary:
With his mission to destroy the Imperial shield generator a failure and his friends dead or missing, Han Solo faces his future alone. An intresting concept focusing on "What if the shield Generator on Endor wasn't destroyed?" . Han is captured and is being held on the Death Star while his friends are either missing or dead.
Number of Reviewers:

Rating:
Very Good-Excellent
Comments:
Very well written. With Leia injured, Chewie apparently reduced to a pile of fur, and Threepio missing, there's plenty of suspense and every reason to look forward to the next installment. Knight-Ander also gives us a satisfying look into Han's feelings for Leia, which he did not have a chance to express before their capture. It is very amusing and well-written; it keeps your attention and makes you want to continue reading. It was a wonderful idea to use Han Solo as the main character in this story. It's a gripping tale that has you paying attention to every single word. Bravo on this one!!
Quotes:
Things could have turned in favor of the rebels when the astromech Artoo-Detoo joined the rebel leaders at the recoded lock leading into the bunker, but a lucky shot from a stormtrooper hiding in the woods blasted the droid out of commission and all the way across the bunker's entrance. "Well," Han had said. "I suppose I could hot-wire this thing."
Then she said the last words he would hear from her. "I'll cover you."

Dying Fire: The Three Fathers of Obi-Wan Kenobi
Author:
Jedi_Nifet
Era:
Post TPM, AU
Status:
In progress
Summary:
Obi-Wan is learning to deal with both his Master's death and having Anakin as a Padawan
Number of Reviewers:
3
Rating:
Good-Very Good
Comments:
Danger, intrigue, and all the makings of a story shaping up to be a mind twister. There are new takes on old premises, and I will assuredly be reading this one until the end. One of the most intense stories I have ever read; it's great. Many threads come together to form an intriguing start to the story and Nais Kobierta is a very interesting and well-drawn original character.
Quotes:
(1)He heard his padawan’s desperate, piercing cry of denial. Felt the pressure of air around him as he fell to his death, a sudden gush of wind that drove into him with ferocity, suffocating him, choking his breath. Then the darkness closed in on him, cutting everything off.
(2)“That was…” Obi-Wan stooped in mid-sentence, seeing the fear – that bone-deep fear Anakin had brought from his slavery – show on the boy’s face.
“Um, sorry,” Anakin mumbled, trying to avoid looking at his Master.
A sudden smile broke on Obi-Wan’s face. “I hope you weren’t going to put it under anyone’s bed to turn it on at night?” he asked playfully.
Surprised, Anakin looked up and had grace to blush.

The Return Home
Author:
Arwen_Solo
Era:
Post NJO
Status:
In progress
Summary:
After the death of both parents, Ben Skywalker runs away from home, leaving his younger sister behind in the custody of the Solos. Six years later, he returns to many changes.
Number of Reviewers:
2
Rating:
Good
Comments:
Good characterization. I like the realistic reactions of the characters, and especially the scene from Han's point of view. It's a good start and leaves me wondering where the story will go.
Quotes:
Leia smiled warmly and hugged him once more before letting go. "You're all grown up now. You look wonderful, Ben. Strong."
Ben managed a weak smile. Seeing her again didn't make him feel very strong. It made him remember when he had been at his most weak. When he had lost everything that he loved, and was told his parents weren't ever coming home again.
Title:
The Lost Temple
Author:
Sabe126
Era:
Pre-TPM
Status:
In progress
Summary:
Two years before the events of the Phantom Menace, Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi are sent to the planet of Anobis after the discovery of the ruins of an ancient Jedi Temple. For a thousand years the secrets of the Jedi have remained hidden…
Number of Reviewers:
3
Rating:
Good-Very Good
Comments:
This is a very impressive story. Written with new twists and mysteries, this fic captures your interest almost immediately. Sabe126 has incorporated some interesting characters that seem to have lives of their own. There are layers beyond layers of hidden meanings that are subtly, but not too deeply, hidden within the story. The writing is good, the mystery is developing nicely, the mention of frequent ground tremors could be the foreshadowing of danger, and Qui-Gon knows something about the young female archaeologist that Obi-Wan, who has to work closely with her, does not. These elements will grab the reader's attention and make them want more.
Quotes:
“I’ve never met real life Jedi before.”
“You make me sound like an exhibit.” Obi-Wan laughed.

After Bespin
Author:
KnightMara
Era:
OT
Status:
Completed, short story
Summary:
Leia mourns for her lost home and family
Number of Reviewers:
2
Rating:
Excellent
Comments:
This is truly an excellant vignette. It focuses on the feelings that Leia has after Alderaan in destroyed and the heatbreak that she is holding under her otherwise calm exterior. This story is peppered with wonderful descriptive phrases and the emotion and the way that it is conveyed is truly breath-taking. An excellant piece.
Quotes: Little did he know at that moment, as she drew herself up at long last and dried the last of her tears, that he would be the one to warm her soul. He would be the one to help her find her way, to lead her to a home unlike any she could ever imagine.
Quotes:
Not since the destruction of Alderaan had she felt this empty, and then she’d been too focused on her own survival and the stolen plans to notice. She had also had both Han and Luke to help her through it. Now . . ..
Plot Bunnies
One
My Other Hope is a Corellian- Leia isn't the 'other' Yoda speaks of. It's Han. Luke's attempt to rescue Han from his carbonite fate ends in Luke getting frozen instead, and Han escaping. Yoda then has the unwelcome task of turning Han Solo into a Jedi Knight. 'There is no try', right? Probably best written with a good seasoning of humour.
Two
About a year or two after Anakin comes to the Temple, he and Obi Wan are adjusting and such, doing well, when Anakin gets into a fight and lets say injures another padawan. When Anakin throws a hissy fit about being punished for defending himself and says that Obi doesn't know anything about stuff like that because he's always been the perfect apprentice. Obi Wan then tells him a little bit about his history, such as Bruck Chun, Bandomeer, and Melida/Daan. This could be just a vignette or it could evolve into an AU w/ Ani not turning.
Three
Synopsis so far: About 16-20 years past the current NJO books, Luke & Mara have had 2 more kids after Ben, both girls. The youngest wants to prove herself without using her family name/reputation. She joins a squadron using a fake name, and not only has to live up to her parent's names and reputations but also to her older brother Ben. As an added complication, she might run into Jaina as a commanding officer. The other daughter doesn't really like piloting much.

Sterling work, as usual, Kettch, and other contributors.
Funny and informative and I especially like the bunnies section: do it like a personals ad, maybe: "AU bunny seeks author; Han Solo is '
The Other Hope
' of the Galaxy: Luke gets frozen in Han's place and Han must go to Dagobah to be trained by Yoda; vignette or something more?"
Keep up the good work, Kettch: maybe once this has become established they'll add a link at the top of the FanFic Forum pages!

They sound to me quite weird, but somehow very fitting into the SW Universe.
