	HAPPY HALLOWEEN! Hey it’s that time again…or in other words challenge time So what’s the challenge? you ask. Obviously a sort of spooky, creepy, scary type of story – with Jaina and Jag. Whoever else you’d like is up to you. Beside that you have to meet the following parameters… 1) Open the entry piece with this sentence – A blood-curdling scream pierced the night, and everyone in the room froze. 2) Use the ten words listed below: spooky ghost skeleton mask haunted foggy eerie howl creepy grave 3) The entry can be no longer than 2000 words in length. Other than that it’s up to your imagination to dream up something exciting or dramatic or horrifying and your fingers to type it as fast as they can, because the challenge ceases to exist at Midnight board time on October 31st, 2004. Oh and the ghoulish judges shall be Lt_Jaina_Solo Darth_Lex and TKeira_Lea If I have left out anything of import please let me know. A challenge thread is now open on the ByTS boards where you can post your entries. 	There was a very good question about the HALLOWEEN CHALLENGE - How will it be judged? I was so excited to get the challenge rolling that I forgot to put up the important stuff! So here goes... You will be scored out of ten possible points for each category below. Challenge paramaters (Did the writer use all the required words, opening sentence, adhere to the word limit?) Grammar/spelling/punctuation (Just like it sounds.) Originality (Is the idea unique or different? Does the story standout from the others?) Characterizations (Are the characters true to the Star Wars EU?) 	CHALLENGE NEWS! First off, a HAPPY HOLIDAYS to everyone in the coming weeks. May all your wishes and hopes come true. On to the true challenge, I swear If you haven't noticed, it's the HOLIDAYS! So your lovely Managers and I thought up a scrumptious challenge for you all. Jaina is finally going to be meeting Soontir and Syal Fel (Jag's parents ) on a world that is in the middle of winter (take your pick). What happens next is entirely up to you, however keep in mind that the story MUST revolve around a holiday (that is left up to you; however, there is a lovely selection of holidays that can be found here ). This story also must include the idea of gift of giving AND/OR the holiday spirit. The challenge opens December 1, and closes on December 31. All participants are allowed to submit more than one piece. Word limit is 3000 words. You will be judged by the following criteria: Grammar/spelling Believability Originality Characterizations Overall impression Any questions feel free to post them here or PM any one of the Index Managers.
