	I finally got the motivation to start this, but bear with me since the posts may be few and far between. I've got my wedding coming up in eight months, and that's more important than fanfic, of course. Title: KILL BRODEY: Vol 1 Rating: I'm going to try to make this story, which is vaguely themed after an R-rated movie, a PG rating. Let me know if something sounds sketchy, even though I bet I'll catch it. Characters: Brodey, Siri, Gramps, Kyp, Anja, Wes, and introducing OC pilot cast, the Lovable Misfits Required Reading: If you're just tuning in, there's a lot of catching up to do in order to get to this point in the story. You can find all the stories in this bio. The most important stories are "Jaina's Drunken Duology", "Down the Sn'aala Hole We Go" and "Attention Moron: Your Pal is Stealing Your Gal!" If you don't feel like wading through them all, I will send out word documents through email. Just PM me and ask. Now, it's time for more story . . . The small catwalk creaked under the weight of a lanky blond man as he crept from shadow to shadow, his eyes scanning the darkness for an invisible enemy. Far off in the distance he could hear the desperate cries of a young woman, but the air surrounding him was deader than the wastelands of Tatooine. “What are you going to do, your highness?” A rivulet of sweat traced down the bridge of Brodey's nose as he turned around slowly. The mocking voice had come from behind, and he knew the killer had him in his sights. “What do you want from me?” Brodey growled boldly, his fierce expression issuing a challenge to the hooded phantom whose face he had not yet seen. “Nothing, really,” came the nonchalant reply. “Just your life, in exchange for the woman and child. Tell me, Narundi. Are you really that selfish that you'd give their lives to save yours?” “You're not really going to let them go if I go along quietly,” Brodey retorted, the corner of his mouth twitching slightly and betraying his nervousness to his foe. “You're just going to kill us all.” “Well, you're right about that,” the other man said before a blaster bolt erupted from the barrel of his weapon, illuminating their surroundings for a brief instant. In the span of that moment, Brodey caught a flash of something familiar . . . Brodey jerked back into consciousness with enough force to almost knock himself out on the bunk above him. “Ahhh, Sith!” he hissed, cursing the metal bed frame that had been constructed to fit pilots a head shorter than him. “Shut up down there,” mumbled a sleepy Agar, and Brodey could hear the bed squeak as the young man rolled over in the bunk above him. “Sleeping . . . night night . . .” Brodey rolled his eyes and imagined what a well-placed kick through the mattress would do to the sleeping pilot. Figuring that would only get him another court martial, he did the smart thing and left the warmth of his bed for the fresher. He cursed as the cold durasteel floor panels stung his bare feet and made him hustle in his tired state. At times like these he wished he'd never left the warm sand beaches of his home world, but one couldn't be picky with headhunters following in hot pursuit. In his hurry to place his cold feet on the mat inside the fresher, Brodey hastily smacked his hand against the control panel and barged through the open fresher door, turning on the light inside with the force. “Sithspawn!” cried his panicked cousin as she almost fell off the toilet seat in shock. “Knock next time before entering, you moron!” “Well how am I supposed to know if you're in the loo when you have the lights off?” Brodey argued. “I did that so you wouldn't wake up. Now get out!” she hissed, and he could see a murderous glint in her eyes as she stared him down. Brodey let out a frustrated sigh as he was locked outside the fresher with freezing feet. Nothing about this trip had gone well, and the one person who could salvage his sanity was once again acting as if he'd been stricken with some sort of fast-acting plague. Of course, that was the case for Siri just a mere three weeks earlier, and her body was still recuperating from the devastating illness. It would take a while before things returned to normal, and in the meantime he'd just have to allow her to hog the fresher and do whatever else sick women enjoyed doing. “Playing games with your cousin this late at night?” asked a voice from the small dining area directly in front of him. “Are you that desperate?” “I'm warning you, old man. I am not in the mood,” Brodey retorted as he found a seat at the table in the dark room. “Why not? Is there something you want to share?” his grandfather asked. “Another dream, perhaps?” Next - Gramps has a nice little chat with his hot-headed grandson. Hopefully more by Friday. I'm going to Canadia this weekend so Friday is when you're getting some. 	It's great to see you writing this again. What do you mean planning a wedding is more important that writing fan fiction? I can see you have your priorities in the wrong order! grins Congratulations BTW. I didn't know you were getting married. Planning is fun but stressful. Good luck. Poor Brodie can't get a break, even in the first chapter. That gramps is too funny. Wes/Inyri? Can't wait for that! Glad you are back. green_eyes

	Targeter - Yay, first post! Yeah, just call him Gramps, because his real name isn't fun to say. You'll notice that almost nobody ever calls him by his real name in the story. That would just be weird, and "crusty old man" sounds so much better! And thanks! This story will vaguely resemble Kill Bill, but not too much. green_eyes - Welcome back! I'm glad to be writing again. And my wedding is more important than fanfic, because I've been waiting five years for this. And yes, it's very stressful. You should know by now that I never give Brodey a break. I'm a sadistic author who loves torturing OCs. I'm so tired right now that I can't write any more. Working long hours stinks! 	First post! Yippee! I just spent the past three days reading for hours at a time to read the previous stories. “I'm warning you, old man. I am not in the mood,” Brodey retorted as he found a seat at the table in the dark room. Teehee...love how Brodey calls him 'old man'. Also, congrats on your engagement! 	LOL! Thanks squirt. I will try to not neglect this thread tonight after I take a shower. I'll finally reply since I got my second wind (work has been hell and I only recently started writing little bits and pieces of things, hoping to finish something of a story ) Looks like Schilling is doing pretty well for himself with his ankle. 	Sorry I haven't replied. I was too wrapped up in yesterday's game and too tired from that today to post before today's game. And . . . THE RED SOX WIN!!!!! What a series . . . wow.
