Hi Everybody!
I wanted to stop by and thank The Gatherer and Nom Anor for starting this thread, as well as say "Hi" to those that have posted on here already.

Nom Anor--Nick, man...you missed an issue of Gamer!
I did the Bounty Hunter starships in Gamer 7! How can you miss that?
Aren't you co-running TFN books?
I am kidding--thanks for everything, man.

SishSadeet--I am neither a God or particularly "friggin"--but thanks for the support! Which piece did you like? How do I deserve such praise?

Wedge 88--The Power of the Jedi sourcebook comes out in August--check it out at www.wizards.com in the Star Wars section.
I don't think it spoiling anything to say I got to draw some Jedi--since it is the title of the book!

That's all for now. Keep writing and I'll keep stopping by to see if I can answer any questions. To everyone I met at Celebration II--I was bowled over by the overwhelming response to my work and the new version of "Vader's Dream".
Hopefully, that image will have a home shortly--I will keep you posted.
My thanks to everyone at TFN for all the support over the years--It means a lot!

Thanks again.

Eureka! I know why I missed that. Truth is, that was a rough time in my life. Some things were happening during that time that I was having a hard time dealing with. I mean, I had to get up early and go to work, not to mention the fact that it was the beginning of summer. Those parties will really do a number on your head. Add to the fact that I had stubbed my toe earlier in the day and you can see why I missed that. It's a rough life.

Actually, I didn't have any of those issue next to me, I was just trying to do it by memory. It's good to have you here in the forums. I hope "Vader's Dream" finds a home soon too.

Vader's dream really was awesome grin

I really liked the Gamma-Wing too. Where's that from? Is it in the NJO Sourcebook, and if so does anybody have any background and stats for it?

I'm pretty sure it's just something he made up. He's still waiting to get permission to post all his RPG stuff.

It really is great. I remember when I first saw it, I had to show it to everyone.

Is that Plo Koon though? I don't think Annie kills him . . . wink Or Yaddle for that matter. But I'm nitpickin', and of course you didn't know that when you created that peice of work.

Anyway, its great.

Congratulations on your new showcase, Jeff!!

I just wanted to add my praise for your work to all the others posted here. In my opinion, Jeff's "Star Wars" work stands right up there with folks like McQuarrie, Johnston and Chiang (I think Jeff knows me well enough to know what high praise that is coming from a picky b*stard like me).

Luckily, since I get to see Jeff every few weeks or so at my comic shop in Columbus (I'll restrain myself from entering a plug here), I usually get to see his stuff as originals!

Keep plugging away, Jeff!!

-Rod

PS: the wife and I still want to have you and Lisa over for dinner! Let me know when... we'll hang out and geek on SW stuff while we make the 2 Lisas cook for us!!!

Hey Jeff. I loved your concept Episode 1 poster. Have you done anything similar for Episode 2? Also that Vader's Dream one is excellent!

No, Anakin didn't kill every one of those Jedi. The ghost of the Jedi are figurative for the spirits that haunt Anakin when he turned to the Dark Side. By turning to the Dark Side he sealed the Jedi Order's fate, which means that he also sealed the fate of those Jedi featured (most of them anyway).

Something else that should be noted is the Vader's Dream featured in the gallery is the original. The new version has a large amount of Photoshop editing done to it and should be up shortly.

Hello Again, Everybody!
Wow! The response to the new website is overwhelming! Thanks for checking us out!
We will be updating constantly, so expect more work soon.

FOTR-AOTC-TTT_2002, Wildwookiee and Wedge 88:
Thanks for the response to "Vader's Dream". The Jedi that appear around him are not supposed to be anyone that Anakin has literally killed, but represent all the fallen Jedi who are now dead because of the choices he made. The Jedi up front are just supposed to be the Council members from TPM, with a variety of species behind them.
If you like that version of the picture, keep your eyes open, because (hopefully) I will be posting the new version very soon. I took the original line drawing for the painting, scanned it into the computer and did an all-new, highly detailed digital painting based on the old one. Since I can get a greater amount of detail and can play with the lighting more, it is very creepy.
I know you will like it.

Nick_Fel:
The Gamma Wing is a ship I created right before Phantom Menace came out, to visualize a fighter that might be created after ROTJ, incorporating elements of other fighters. So it has solar cells like a tie fighter, quad guns like an X-wing, and a nose similar to both an A-wing or Y-wing. AS to stats--none as yet--but let me know if you make any up!

bobayoda34:
Which poster did you like the one modeled after Drew Struzen's or the older, more original one? I haven't done an animated version of the Episode II poster yet, mostly because I have been busy with freelance work--but you never know, free time permitting, I might have something fun up here very soon!

Rodnaraok:
Roddy, thanks for checking the site out and for hopping on the boards! You might not want to plug the Greatest Comic Book Store in the midwest, but I sure as hell will!
Rod, along with Darryn and Gib, run The Laughing Ogre comic book store in Columbus, OH, and have been great friends and supportors of me over the years, as well all of the artists, writers, comic creators and readers who have found their way into the shop! If you are ever in the area, you owe it to yourself to visit a READER'S comic shop. You won't regret it.
On a personal note--how lucky are we to be with two great Lisas?

So that's all for now--
Talk to you guys later,
And Thanks!
Jeff
