so said mr. caine in the italian job, and lo, i have had one too.
i was thinking that with the distance between the members of FF-UK:M, why don't we find somewhere that is central to all of us, (i.e. get a map, plot where we all live and work out the middle) that we could all get to with relative ease in order to hold our regular monthly meet? find a town or a place with a restaurant or something, and take it over once a month for our own purposes. that way we could just say "meet at so and so" on this date, and everyone would know where, thus removing a lot of discussion/confusion from meet threads.
or we could stick with star city and that mexican place, and if we have regular meets there we would become known by the establishment and try to work some kind of deal with them for a discount etc? try to get them in with us or something? it would raise their profile as well as ours. of course we could try this on where ever we end up choosing as our "regular" place, if that mexican place isn't viable.

Good idea Dave....I think we mentioned this in the early stages of our formation but nothing really seemed to come of it.......And if I'm honest i think the middle of all of us lot is....Lichfield!!!! tada!!!!! lol
If I'm honest last time I was with you guys when we first all met up at the mexican place...they dint seem to keen on us being there and making noise...so I think we need to find sumwhere we can all sit down, chat, relax and catch up and dicuss with each other. Somewhere more appropriate mesa thinks...

yeah, but the last time we were at that mexican place we spent £265!! they can't moan when we spend that kind of money  and they seemed ok with us being there, and even the waitress took the pic at the top of the banner, even though she was useless with the food order LMAO!!

Here's the doozey guys, taking into account Jairen and Veritas being in the east, RebelJediKnight88 being in the south west, Happy Ninja, Jangofett9 and myself being to the north, Star City is almost the central point, silly as it sounds but I will look at the area map and try to plot the central point.
Oh and Wiz - You're only supposed to blow the ###### doors off !

Its an hour eitherway from sandiacre or Telford which Is where I alternate my Weekends, so its no skin off my rosey nose.

i have no idea what happens around midnight. i just wake up and it's 8 in the a.m. 
apparently new years eve i slept in the toilet for 2 hours and stumbled into bed at 2.30 a.m., my oldest son wanted to use the bog but the door was locked. i have no recollection but i was bruised to chuff in the morning. personally i blame whosthebadman's bloody red absinthe  . i woke up furious that angie had undressed me but left my socks on (i hate going to bed in socks  ) but apparently she had just watched me being a drunken bum whilst laughing at me. and that was new years eve.

So we've all seen you as a drunken bum then Dave, do you think there's a message in there somewhere ?
Ok the research has paid off, the most central point for all the active members, as the crow flies it's Corley services on the M6 near Coventry, Mileage-wise it's Jct 6 of the M6 or Star City.

well, its seems star city or that general area is the central meeting point. Perhaps Dave could Reccy other restaurants, bars/pubs in the area for suitability.

agent Wiz reporting. aided by my beautiful assistant Taylor, we have scouted out Star City.
as well as one of the largest (if not the largest) cinema in the midlands, we have burger king, a chinese buffet and sushi bar, nando's chicken place and the following:
 ma potters downstairs, la tasca (spanish tapas bar) upstairs
  megabowl (which seems to have everything under one roof)
 some place that has all you can eat for £3.99 
 a free membership casino
and our spiritual home: 
mission sort of accomplished
