Star Wars Day at Snibston Discovery Park

ok gang, we have been invited by the good folks of KOTE to host a table at the Snibston Discovery Park in Coalville, near Leicester ( website ) on the 28th of august (bank holiday monday)
this thread is to discuss who will be manning the table and what we will have on show. i have been told we will get some passes but not to take the piss with them  , so only the people manning the table should get them. however, i like Chris' idea that we all chip in to cover the costs for the other members.
entry prices are:
Adults (aged 16 and over) £6.00
Children (aged 5 - 15) £4.00
Under 5's Free
Family of 4 (max 2 adults) £18.00
Family of 5 (max 2 adults) £20.00
Senior (aged 60+) £4.20
Disabled £4.20
Students (with ID) £4.20
Colliery Tours adults £1.30
Colliery Tours child £0.75
as for our presentation, i reckon what we have planned for the nottingham carnival and parade event would work for this just with the added benefit of us being indoors and having access to a power supply fo Mark's powerpoint slideshow. we have a table, get some props and flyers on it, put the banner across the front of the table and get ourselves out and about. easy.
as KOTE will be in attendance you are pretty much guaranteed the usual characters; Vader, Maul, the Fetts and a host of stormies and clones  , plus the fact that it is an interactive science museum it will keep kids (big and little  ) entertained for the day
all in all this looks like a great day out.

don't worry about the table part
this is still going full steam ahead. star wars in the morning and then superheroes in the afternoon (although spongebob will be there and if he's a superhero i'm a monkey's uncle)

i think you'll find the day is actually named as heros and villians - spongebob fits into the group which is an enemy of both
i will be in attendance for a few hours in costume as will Mr Tay-Mar

Hmmm, this is an interesting dilema.
Obviously, this would be a good table oppurtunity for the SFFG, but if there are only going to be a couple of members present to man the table, would it be worth going ahead with it? Also, after joining the KOTE forums myself and reading Simon's post about people crewing for them, and taking Colin's advice on crewing for a bit to get a feel for what the guys and gals do before moving on to costuming and trooping at events myself, this would be a good experience for me to do that.
I'm kinda torn at the moment on what to do.
Of course this if I can get down there, that is.

mark, the table was cancelled weeks ago, in the thread on the secret base. weeks ago.
as for crewing, you need to get a crew shirt and id badge first. i'm not putting anyone off because it's absolutely brilliant to do events from "the other side of the fence", but you need a basic "uniform" in order to be identifiable to the people who run the event, other crew members, and the folks in costume. the next batch of id cards won't be done for a good few weeks, so i really doubt if you'll be able to crew at this event dude.

Forgot about the cancellation!
Actually, I thought about the uniform and stuff after I posted that...Couldn't be buggered to edit my post...not to mention, I was doing the ironing!
Yeah, me! Doing the ironing! 
Still, it would be nice to get some field-time; see how everything in the organisation ticks, etc...
