I just had an email today from Petra Gelens who works for Tutbury Crystal.

They have new facilities opening next week in Stoke on Trent, and David Prowse (Darth Vader) is coming to officially open it. They are also launching a “design your own glass” program, and David will be doing it himself. Once he has designed his glass, they will produce a number of them for people to buy (either through David’s website or their own, check later for details). It probably won't be Darth Vader images, since that requires a LF license.
Petra contacted me because she wants fans to know about this event, and fans are more than welcome to come down to the facilities to meet David. In fact she hopes people will come down and support it.
The event is taking place on Wednesday 5 July 2006, and David Prowse should be there between 10am and 1pm. As I understand it, David Prowse will be also available for signing and taking personal photographs with him. Mr. Prowse will have his own personal photographer there.

i won't be going.
i have absolutely no interest in travelling a couple of hours out of my way to see dave prowse sign his name, especially after my last experience with him.
plus it's doubtful whether i would get back in time to pick the kids up from school.

Wiz - no worries, fully understand, but like I said to you in the PM, the info is there for anyone to make use of, as they wish  From my pov, it's nice if fans can support these smaller events just like the bigger ones (size matters not Sorry!), but usually more time would be needed.

That would be great Chris, it's too close to 30th and Bristol for me to make it again. I'll keep you updated on any more changes if they happen (the Tutbury event is quite close to another convention David is appearing in).
