Hi there,
Anyone going to dragoncon this year? Anyone going, who wants to escort some of our Star Wars guest, help out with the costume ball or "arrest" guest for the cantina ball Please PM. I got put in charge of coordinating this thing. Oh and is it fun. (NOT :P). Even if you can't help escort, stop by the dunwoody and say hi. (Its funny to have to go to Atlanta to meet my other Milwaukee area FF folks.) Have a safe trip south (ya all).

I'll be arriving on Friday night and leaving Monday morning, so at the con itself on Saturday and Sunday. In costume, but all of these balls are a new concept to me since I've never been there before  Hopefully I'll meet you at some point.

I hope you have a good time, I love dragoncon. Let me know if you get any free time I will be at the dunwoody in the hyatt. Tim Zahn wrote to Cathy, don't worry if you can't find anyone to escort me, but having a mara escort me would be nice....and if I remember, you have an awesome mara. Its funny cause there are actually as many people requsting to escort zahn as there is for ray park and peter mayhew.

I would gladly escort Tim Zahn if you need a Mara. That would be really awesome actually. Just let me know and I can give you my cell number and/or email you a picture of my new costume for approval. I actually packed a book and action figure that I was going to ask him to sign for me My plan is to be Mara on Saturday and Admiral Daala on Sunday.
We're staying at the Hyatt as well. Which I hear means we should expect little sleep.

lol yep the hyatt is the party hotel, and the one we always stay at. I keep thinking I am getting too old for this,(so much booze, so little sleep) but then I keep going back, so much fun.
Tim Zahn needs to be escorted saturday at 1pm and 7pm. And you don't need to get costume approval. We are kind of relaxed about that sort of thing (does not have to be perfect.) You should see mine,(Barris Offee and ceremonial leia)..so.. not perfect, but its my interpretations of the costume not a perfect recreation of it.

Don't forget to get your badge first thing when you get there. If you wait until Saturday, you will never get it. Last year the line was over a two or three hour wait.

Well...we aren't arriving until Friday evening. Do you know what time the line is open until on Friday night? Otherwise we will have no choice but to get them on Saturday...hopefully we can still be in the parade if we don't have them before that time....

From the program it says 11pm. It opens again at 8am. You have to wear your badge during the parade. Actually, you have to have it on at all times. So.... you need to get it late Friday or first thing on Saturday. If you want until the after the parade you will spend the rest of the day waiting in line to get your badge.

We're leaving Milwaukee at 5am Friday so should arrive in Atlanta somewhere around 6-7 EST. That should leave us plenty of time to check into the hotel and get our badges before 11pm. I can't imagine it would take that long late on Friday night.
