Roch, NY 1st Annual Rebellion vs North Ridge Bowl-Off! Sun March 5th

We're starting to "pin down" logistics for the 1st Annual Rebellion vs North Ridge Bowl-Off!

We're thinking somewhere in Batavia and the dates that are being considered are Feb 19th or March 5th.

So who's interested and which day would work better for you?

I don't think anyone's called around to see what bowling alleys are in the Batavia-ish area. I know that KnightShade has a friend that used to live in Batavia so we might be able to check with him.

March 5th for me. The 19th is the Daytona 500, I can't miss the Superbowl of NASCAR. Are Saturdays out? I guess you choose Sundays due to Leagues?

 

I have to work on the 19th, but maybe I could do the 5th, I'll have to check the *not yet finalized* schedule at work to give me an idea. My boss is on a cruise until the 26th so I can't ask her for it off yet.

 

It's looking like Sunday, March 5th is best for most folks. And, yes Saturdays are out because of leagues.

Let's start seeing a count of hands for who'd be interested in coming that day (time still TBD) so that we know how many lanes to reserve at the alley (I guess there's only one alley in Batavia I'm not sure it's name at the moment).

Do you know around what time this may be? I want to be home in time to watch the Academy Awards, but I can always tape it.

 

Phone company just got my line working again after a week of calling. Sucks not being home all day due to work when you ahve to ahve some one fix something. Anyway I suck at bowling but have fun anyway. You can count me in on this one.

I think we should have some sort of trophy for this and set some ground rules.

 

I was just asking KnightShade about rules just recently.
I had suggested averaging all The North Ridge bowlers and all The Rebellion bowlers scores from the evening and determining the winning chapter that way.

I can work getting on a trophy. I have to work on getting one made up for the USS Tranquility's upcoming bowling tournament anyways. I think the trophies only came to $15, but maybe each chapter can put in for 1/2?

OK just reserved 6 lanes for us at:

Batavia, NY 14020

We will be bowling 3 games starting at 1pm.
Each game will be $3 (so $9 a person) and shoe rental is free.
Afterwards we'll be going out for dinner (place TBD).

Ack! We're Outnumbered.

 

I'm going to set a loose RSVP date of Feb 28th. That way if I need to reserve more than the 6 lanes we already have I still have the opportunity to do so. However, if you don't know if you can come until after the 28th don't fret it - I'm sure we'll still have room.

A slightly firmer count will also help when it comes to figuring out dinner reservations.
