Sac, CA 2007 Christmas Party

The Robot Chicken episode is really funny. I have The Force Among Us, a documentary about Star Wars fans if anyone is interested.

 

Are we total geeks or what? So we are going to have a Christmas party where we all sit and watch tv? We are a real "wild and crazy" bunch, I tell you.

 

It might get wild and crazy after a few C-3POs!

 

Yeah, that thought makes me laugh...all of us with our C3POs...in front of the tv. I think that would be good documentary footage.

 

I'm sure LDV will set up a video camera. Too bad we didn't have one at CIV!

 

Oh, I'm not sure I think that is a bad thing...

We should all be happy, me thinks, that we have no videographic evidence of some of those evenings!

 

Oh I think the midnight store run might be quite entertaining!

 

On an additional note... I've a Star Wars fan dvd too... I forgot the name of it, but it's in the vein of trekkies... oh, and i've got trekkies 1 & 2 if people want to laugh at how we're "better" then those "really weird" star trek people...

I got the special edition at C4. It has a lot of bonus stuff and footage that brings t he story up to Episode 3.

Just a note...I have looked and looked for the spearmint stuff for the C3POs and have been unable to find anything. That means someone else will need to look, or that we deal with the peppermint that I already bought.

I guess that's why the recipe tends to say "peppermint," eh? And did we give Marric a hard time about that? Please tell me that I don't need to apologize...he gloats when he's right.

 

Just bring the peppermint. It will be just fine. Besides, after a couple of C3PO's, no one will care.

 

I'm sure DarthDikum will bring his Star Wars Monopoly game if you don't want to sit and watch movies, Jedidoria. If you are real nice, he might even bring his beautiful Star Wars Chess Set.

 

Time to get this back on track.

I found out that I can get the keys earlier to decorate. Does anyone have extra Christmas decorations, small tree, etc that we can borrow? And, is anyone available to help with the decorating? Please!!!!

 

And......don't forget to shop for your white elephant star wars gift to trade. Reminder: Cost limits for gift: $10 - $15. You can go slightly over for tax and wrapping if you wish.

 

I will be bringing my hot sauce potato salad to go with the wings as per Pat's request. I will look through what isn't put up to see if I have anything for decorations. I might be able to come a bit early to help throw the decorations up again.

 

i'll bring something peruvian to eat. don't know what yet, all depends what the $$ factor is like.

 

This isn't truly a "white elephant" gift is it? I don't think it was last year. All the white elephant gift exchanges I've been to it meant giving something you don't really want and usually it's something you already have.
