Well, I have my first project and I figure with my newness I'll set a tentative date of December. I'll be setting about making a Miraluka Jedi costume.

...yeah, I know. Group costume for New York Comic Con, and Frodo is a best friend's 8 year old brother. I can't say no to that. Eowyn is the best friend, and I might do Galadriel for myself. Jury's still out on that, but I have to do LotR of some sort.

If I Have Time list:
TOR Jedi armor - the trick with this is that even if someone does mass produce it, I can guarantee it will be massive on me. Also, I don't want to have man armor, I want to have lady armor, since that is totally canon. So I will be building it from scratch, which will be an adventure I've not ever had before.

 

This may be my last chance to have a marathon sewing year, so I plan to take advantage of it as best as I can.

I would love to have Chuchi done by the time I move in July, but I've got plenty of other costumes on my list, I'm not sure if I will be able to. When I get back in grad school, I'll probably work slowly on a couple of projects like:

I already have about half the materials, but it's an insanity project. I don't see myself finishing this for another couple of years.

 

I know where to find the actual Galadriel fabric!!

Except it's like $30 a yard.

 

Well.... I work a lot of overtime? A Saturday or two should cover the expenses of the costume, even with the actual fabric. So, send me information! You know where to find me.

 

I already need to add 2 more to my list.

That said, today we found out that we're soon moving to ten hour days (), so that'll be good for my costuming budget. I need a silver lining somewhere in all this, and I think that's it.

 

I'm totally going to be a lazy mooch and steal your patterns.

 

This year I will finish the Imperial Navy Trooper. I have the jumpsuit, boots, belt, gloves and greeblies. Just ordered the gloves. I'm just waiting on some local folks to finish this:

After that... I might be done with costuming for a while... unless I finally do a TK or TD.

4. Padme Meadow Gown

Due NEXT Dragon*Con. Again, late to the game, but I didn't have the skill to do this one yet when everyone else was doing it! Starting immediatly after D*C this year.

P.S., Miana: Clara and Merriweather? MAKE IT BLUE!!!

 

Clara unfortunately got dropped, but Merriweather is SO MUCH BLUE.

Next up: Zayne! He's totally not getting done by WonderCon, though. I'm working waaay too much for that. Still, I've got boots, gloves, a wig, and a mockup of the tunic and cowl. I may redo the cowl with a hood to see if that looks decent- it sometimes shows up and sometimes doesn't, so we'll see how it hangs and I'll decide if I want to keep it.

1. Hopefully the huzzy and I will have a house to costume! : ) The Maul Wall is expanding! Homebuyuing nixes my planned "Amidala's Greatest Hits" gown I had designed for the nexy Celebration. : (

2. FINISHED!!! Remix of huzzy's Rebel Hoth vest. Will need to remix his jumpsuit, but he is rapidly losing weight. : )

3. I need to work on my tailoring skills so I might make an Imperial suit, like the ones in the character guide for Admiral Daala. Why do all the Star Wars ladies have red hair?

4. I really like the (ugh) Jedi chick's outfit who's in the new video game's trailer. I don't know her name, but she has pigtails and it looks like I can dump some old Pirates of the Carribean fabric into it. If anyone has pics/screen caps, please share. : ) Please? : )

5. I have started a Darth Zannah costume. She allegedly invented the double-bladed lightsaber. : ) Yay... couldn't possibly know where I might find one of those... and she is BLOND!

5. (Un)Fortunately TONS of Roman re-enactment stuff for a BIG production at the Getty Villa.

All work and no play... But you gotta have shelter for those dust storms on Tattoine, er Bakersfield. : )

So, cycling back to what prompted me to start joining various forums I finally got a Bounty Hunter costume finished XD Except it wasn't Zam It's Shae Vizla. I got her half done this time last year so I upgraded everything and replaced about half this year

Got a Movie version of Shaak Ti finished, I lost my tooth headdress before the event though so I haven't got photos of her complete yet. Hopefully soon

And Darth Talon. So so fun. Most fun I have had in costume thanks to being able to be be snarly face I don't really do beautiful I can do derpy and chibi and Total Grump I have no idea how linkies are done here any more but I do have a tumblr full of photos, and if you go through my likes you'll find some costumes and art by others

Non SW costumes this year include Liara from Mass Effect 2/3 and I am currently working on Regina from Once Upon a Time. Evil queens are my costuming weakness. Just never had a real chance to make one before

 

Regina!!! I wish I had the figure for those costumes; they are epic!!
