I about had an anurism when I spotted them!!!

Well, we received some of our ROTS jewelry merchandise today. It's actually WAY better than I first anticipated.

We have collectors pins (Clone Wars) for under $6. Let's see there was an R2D2/C3PO, Darth Vader, Stormtrooper, Boba Fett, Yoda, and another one which I cannot remember at the moment. There were also some collector pins w/ the Vader helmet that said Sith, flames leading into the Vader helmet, and a few other ones. There are 6 of the latter designs, however only four each of the Clone War pins.

We also received some ROTS keychains, however I do not remember the price point. We have a Stormtrooper face, a Vader helmet, the Vader helmet that says Sith, the flames that lead to Vader's helmet, and I believe another one.

Altogether (keychains and pins) we only received 96 pieces. They're on clip strips, so I'm going to have my 3rd shift associate hang them up on the liscensed counter around 10 or 11pm. They'll be covered with the other merchandise.

Hopefully I'll get one of the Yoda pins. *keeping fingers crossed*

Maybe we'll get the watches tomorrow...

 

Two other side notes...

I don't believe anyone has mentioned seeing it yet, but West Side Wal-Mart has already set ROTS posters. I don't believe that the dept. mgr. intends to take them down. They were still up as of 4 pm today.

Also, additional info on the Darth Vader standee...there is supposed to be some sort of voice changing microphone built into the standee that makes your voice sound like Darth Vader. Just a cool little tid bit of info.

 

I just found out that our Wal-Marts are on a list to be open at midnight(lmao, what a shocker)but we are not on the list of the 395 stores that will get the "Early Bird Special"

Target and Toys R Us has exclusives for every store but Wal-Mart has their exclusive for their "preferred" stores. Nothing against you Master_Yoda, I know you just work their.

What a way to alienate collectors by the masses. The closest store in our area is Indianapolis, lol.

I think this is yet another E-Bay exclusive where you have to over spend on E-Bay just to buy something that may be plentiful elswhere.

I also think Target (is "on Target, stay on Target!!") to peeve some more customers off as well. They had sent out a post card with a 1.00 off coupon to "select" customers so a lot of us will be paying full price for figures.

I am done venting.

We are meeting at the west side Wal-Mart at 11 p.m. on Friday, yes? I want to make sure I don't miss this

 

Yes, I will be there at 11pm. Others said 11:30 but I wouldnt show up any later.

 

Has anyone discussed where in wal-mart we'll meet? Will we be just hanging out in the toy depttill midnight, or what? I don't guess a group of stormtroopers would be too hard to miss, but I was just curious.

Btw, I found a new yoda toy in the backroom today. It's a story-telling yoda. When I put him back in the box, I guess I hit a button because all of a sudden he said, "Interupted my meditation, you have." I thought it was pretty cool.

Wow, I leave the boards for 6 months and things start happinin

Good thing I decided to swing by here. I might lurk by there just for the festivities. Building lightsabers and nuclear accelerated packs has put a drain on my money.

 

It was fun. I got away with a whopping 3 figures. I was tempted to go to the east side wal-mart in hopes of getting Kit Fisto, but...sleepiness...

Hope the rest of you guys had fun...

 

Yeah it was fun...I expect to be complimented on my wife prompted self restraint

It truly was a degree of madness...some of our own, and some folks maybe we'll get to know better. Way wackier than any of the DVD line ups...maybe because there is more to see...& the movie is coming up.
