Waco, TX A New Comic........January 24, 2002

A new fanfilm by me(Joe) will come out on January 24, 2002. Right now, we are getting the last shots done and going into the editing room and piece together this masterpiece. I want to give a big hand to the Dallas/Ft.Worth FanForce for their intrest and collaboration on the project. We are winding down with this one ...and the script for the sequel has just been finished.

I'll let everyone know of a screening for the Waco and DFW FanForces.

There is only one thing that is going to be cut from the fight scene and it's Brian fighting with the sai.

The fx might be crappy though...since I'm still learning how to do it.

 

i hope this doesn't push the celebration to far back

 

It won't....I was just wondering about the fx in the film. The Celebration will go off as planned. I may release some stuff about the sequel at the Celebration.

it's a rumored line...it might be in the sequel...it might not

 

today was going to be the first day of post-production but I was going to edit the movie...but Premeire will only capture about 5 seconds worth of any scene. I hate it.

All of the other editing systems are all dv cameras...and I never shot my movie with a dv camera.

 

So, Joe, do you have to work on the whole thing in 5-second blocks ?

Hopefully there's a way around this...

The problem was i think was the memory on the computer. And everybody is trying to do their class projects...so i might have to do the editing when school starts back up...which means it might or it might not come out on the 24th

 

Damn man! that sucks!

One thing you may want to try is to transfer your tapes to the Mini Dv, and then you can transfer the dv to AVID or Media 100 or what ever your school has. You wont loose much if inything at all in the transfer, and the DV wont lose anything when you go to the computer.

Well in the past several days...I have been looking at some of the footage and logging in which tape has what scene to make the editing more relaxing.

And the date of release has been moved to Febuary 24, 2002

Hopefully...if everything goes well everyone will get to see it in Plano

Just got done with the second day's shoot.

It went well, except we didnt get as much time as we had planned, so we couldnt be 'arty' but we got the coverage we really needeed.

The next shoots will involve alot of fights, so those should be interesting to do.

I cant wait to see what we shot so I can have an idea what it could look like.

I just got done doing a rough cut of the film and I need to do some fine tuning on the editing and adding in all of the lightsaber effects.

The only problem is the sound...some of it didn't come out and you have to turn the volume up a little but other than that...it's groovy. it is about 12 minutes long and I am just so proud of it cause it is my first good movie I made

So it will be done by the 24th and I'll bring it up to everybody at the show.

Can you give me some tips on the audio...I am going to improve the audio for the sequel and I was wondering what would be a good way to do that

 

Last night I wrote the third draft for Episode II and i love it better than the first two drafts. I'm going to have Amidala Starkiller help me out with some more dialog and then we are done with the script.

I'm setting up the casting and we only need two more parts to fill. I am suprised that i wrote just four characters.

There is the Hero from Episode I [filled]
A Mysterious man who befriends him [filled]
The mysterious man's sidekick
A sly collector [filled]

This is going to be great

 

can i be sly collector?
(but, I'll be leaving in April...or May)

 

We will possibly be shooting in this month and next...if everything goes right.

I think you would work perfectly for the Sly Collector
