Seattle, WA Are the SSWS boards down?

I just went there and they were not working for me.....

 

They still aren't working? I went there this morning around 10am and got a weird message.

 

It does appear that the SSWS board is down

 

The boards are being upgraded or so I am told. One would think that there would be a splash page saying whats happening. I was also told that it could take a few days, which puzzles me to no end.

 

I'm wondering if we'll get to re-sign up and start fresh at 0 posts, too? Woooo hoooo!

However, it would be a great time to change my User Name and I've been wanting to do that for awhile. AND we'll get to see everyone's avatars or symbols or whatever-you-call-'ems under their names. That'll be cool.

 

^ Gah! I don't want to lose my posts! Even though they are only a measly 300 or so, I don't want to go back to zero. *sob* *sniff* Avatars huh? That sounds cool though.

 

Phil (Red Leader) is upgrading the boards to the latest version of PHP.

Once it's done, we should have every thread transferred over to the new version, and everything should be the same as before.

We'll get all the graphics back up and running once it's all settled, and it'll be better than ever.

Now, why we don't have some kind of "under construction" page up, I can't tell ya.

Beth, say it's not so! I think "Darth Noll" is a GREAT name. What are you going to change it to???!

 

Maybe she is going to use her 501st number? TK______?

 

Hopefully everything will transfer over. There's a lot of info on the board that would be a waste to lose.

 

so.... when is it going to be up?

 

I'll probably keep DarthNoll after all. I can't think of anything clever to change it to at the moment! I would've probably used TK-484 or ImpChick or something. Why fix it if it ain't broke, right?

I miss our home, though. Hopefully it'll be back up soon. And I hope everything is intact. *crosses fingers*

I sure miss our home, too! But Im glad to hear youre not abandoning Darth Noll, Beth. (Dont ask me why I can't seem to create quotation marks or apostrophes with any regularity, Im on a Mac at the moment; it does what it wants.)

 

The sad part about this... I keep looking to see if its fixed yet. Then I think, WHY? I don't have anything to post.

 

I know what you mean. It's like forgetting your watch and knowing what time it is, but you still glance at your wrist.
