Artists at Celebrations Europe

I had a few questions concerning my print and the pre-ordered sketches that I can clear up in here:

1. The pre-orders are on 11 x 14 Bristol (unless otherwise requested)done in Pen/Ink and Marker. The pricing will be given to you in the PM you send. Pricing varies because of size and number of characters.

2. YES, you can request any character you like. It doesn't even have to be Star Wars. The plus side to the pre-order is I have tons of reference material at home or can get it via internet.

3. I do not know how much my print will be as of yet. Depends on printing costs and that has yet to be finalized.

Tom, may I confirm whether the 11 x 14 is inches or Centimetres. In Europe we have to use metric so there may be some confussion, lol.

I'm sorry, that would be inches. Which would be 28 x 36 cm... right? LOL

 

That's right, 11 x 14 inches is about 28 x 36 cms
Oldies in the UK still use non-metric as it was only phased-in in the 60's/70's, but we still use miles and not Kilometers in the UK so some things are still safe

No, my print for CE will be completely different. But StarWarsShop has my remaining prints for sale as we speak!

 

The first batch of artists is revealed. Once again, it looks like some mighty nice work...but I guess they wouldn't invite just any ol' artist to participate in the art show.

 

There's a full list with artist pics and art here on TOS. I am glad to see that Tsuneo Sanda is coming - I love his Fett art!

 

That list is just the first list, there'll be another list or two soon I assume, especially as some of the artists posted here yet to feature on that first list.

I've been roped into doing a picture for a CE. What can anyone tell me about selling prints of it?

 

I wouldn't recommend selling prints of it unless you have been commissioned by LFL. Otherwise, I'm sure a 'cease and desist' letter would soon arrive from their legal department.

 

I think I posted in the wrong thread.

 

What are the chances of me finding someone going to CE who's willing to pick up a print for me? I know it's a shot in the dark.. figured it wouldn't hurt to ask. I'm trying to get my hands on one of those Slave Leia prints by Adam Hughes. Looks like he's going to have the same one at CE as he did at CIV. If anyone could help me, I'd greatly appreciate it.

 

I am with you Grumpy. I need The Senator print and, well, Europe is out of my realm of financial possibilities. I suppose crossed fingers in hopes of distribution on shop.starwars after the convention are a possibility, but not one I want to take.

As for the Nouveau Leia print, I dont want to brag but I beleive I bought the last one at CIV.

Tom, I love the Trainspotting print, especially the way Ewans character is replaced with Obi-wan in your version!

 

Lucky you.. looks like it's going to be available again though in London. Anyone interested in working out a deal?
