    So what are they? I'm interested to see some soccer (fine, football) in here. Especially the EPL.

    IMO, these are the best rivalries:

    NFL:
    Jets-Dolphins. As a Jets fan I just hate them. Followed closely by the Jets-Pats.

    MLB:
    Mets-Braves. Suck it, Braves.

    NBA:
    Knicks-NBADL. Challenge to see who is worse

    NHL:
    Isles-Rangers. Best rivalry in sports. It's like the Civil War. The proximity of these two teams makes it rough.

    yankees-red sox dwarfs this rivalry. the 2003-2004 ALCSs were like armageddon.

    Oh to most, yeah. Personally, I really don't care about it. But I acknowledge it's the best rivalry in baseball.

    Yep.

    NFL: I'll give you that one. Brother is a Doplhins fan, and my father is a diehard Jets fan. nuff said.

    MLB: Yankees-Red Sox. much bigger that Mets/Braves

    NBA:Don't follow, don't know.

    NHL: I'd say Devils-Rangers. Tickets for those games sky rocket both in the Meadowlands and in the Garden. Belive me, I know, I've tried for tickets and failed....

    MLB: Yankees-Red Sox
    NBA: a bunch of good ones, but I can't distinguish the best between Heat-Pistons and Spurs-Mavs.
    NFL: basically the all the teams in the AFC West and NFC East and maybe Bears-Packers
    NHL: tie - Rangers-Islanders & Canadiens-Maple Leafs (though Habs-Nordiques was even bigger)

    HA!

    [image=http://img73.imageshack.us/img73/9942/stun1841cp8.jpg]

    In between periods of an Isles-Rangers game, anyone dressed as Santa got to do a lap around the ice.

    [image=http://img143.imageshack.us/img143/3761/stunlarge2hw8.jpg]

    Some Rangers knuckleheads reveal their true colors.

    [image=http://img70.imageshack.us/img70/5131/stunlarge3sa0.jpg]

    And start an 8 minute brawl. Merry Christmas!

    MLB: Red Sox-Yankees. It doesn't get bigger than that

    NBA: Historically, it's the Laker-Celtics. Recently, I'm not sure. I'm an eastern conference fan, so we aren't good enough to have rivalries right now. I'm sure the west coast has some good ones.

    NFL: Patriots-Colts seems like a rivarly to me- I know as a pats fan I love seeing the colts lose.

    NBA: EDIT: Yeah, I agree with above, actually. Back when the NBA was good, it was Celts-Lakers.

    NCAA: Ohio State-Michigan

    NFL: Cowboys-Redskins

    Red Sox/Yankees

    College Football
    Ohio State/Michigan

    shinjo_jedi nailed it.

    Well, I don't follow the NFL enough to be sure about that one, but MLB is definitely Red Sox/Yankees, noone else even close, NCAA Football is Ohio State/Michigan, with an honorable mention going to Auburn/Alabama (among others), NCAA Basketball is Duke/UNC, period. End of conversation.

    MLB: Yankees/Red Sox

    Nothing gets more media coverage when it comes to this rivalry, and let me tell you, this rivalry always has something crazy happen.

    NHL: Devils/Rangers

    Nothing gets more exciting then a Devils/Rangers game. I've always wanted to go to one, but never tried since I figure the tickets would be near impossible to get. Those games are always get interesting whether it's a fight or whatever.

    Devs/Rags is good, but it doesn't havee the passion or history that Isles/Rags does. Just ask a Rags fan who's they hate the most. They don't chant "Potvin Sucks" for no reason.

    And when the Devils move further away to Newark, the rivalry will lose some of its geographic bite. Hell, I'd say the Devils biggest rival is actually Philly.

    Right. Let me illustrate how intense the Isles-Rags rivalry is. Baron and I share alot of the same interests. I like the guy. But I'm going to get him mad with two words:

    Bears/Packers, though I can't remember once in my lifetime(32)where both teams were good for an extended period of time. It would be nice to see that.
