Let's see what we all have in our collections. That's the easiest. Plus let's determine if we want to read something we haven't read or not. I'll read anything again except for Crystal Star.

I'll read anything again as well. Even NJO though I will lose track of the inner continuity because of not remembering the exacts of the book just before. Worth it though if it helps us get bookclub back off the ground!

I can check to see what books I have sometime and post them if that would be a help.

kewl.. we have a library, so between the two perhaps we can come up with something, right now I am reading Jedi Twilight, the first Coruscant Nights book, which I will give to the library when I am done with it.

I can see if Bookman's may have missing titles that were in the TFF library.

According to the last meeting the Bookclub has some time to go underway. I believe reading would start in the beginning of December if I remember.
I did not mean to rhyme.
Now I'm a rapper named MC Mime.
I'm true to Star Wars on my behalf.
Go into my bathroom and you see the Yoda bubble bath.
Went to a convention instead of prom.
Went to the hospital trying to dye my skin like Thrawn.
I guess Star Wars and hip-hop don't really mix.
So I'll just stick to watching the flicks.

Anyways. The selected book was Little Women by...J/K it is Tales of the Mos Eisley Cantina. I know I have a copy. I will have to check Bookman's someday.

actually the meeting would be the first Saturday of December. So we would need to have read the book by then. :)

I am having trouble finding my copy, I know it is in a box around here somewhere.

My copy is in Phoenix. I wouldn't mind reading it again, though.

My opinion is reading something that has small stories in it. Letting in not be a long read.

    Tales of A Cantina... ?

So...., by discussion, what will we be discussing, really?

Are we going to be analyzing themes and all that?

Basically, is this going to be English class but with Star Wars books?

Oh god no. If it was, on top of not reading the book, I would not even go to the meeting!

No, we talk about how it effects canon, parts you liked, parts you hated, etc.

I feel lightning in the air.. the room is tingling with the electricity I feel pumping your way with that statement Frank.

Perish the thought, I only just wrote a letter to the IRS that was expected about a year ago.

OK, good. I heard "discussion" and had a mini freakout.

Well, that's cool. I'm up for that then.

Awww, I liked discussions reminiscent of English class...or not ;-)
Although, I have to say that when coming up with topics a book for a discussion I always found it helpful to attempt to apply what I learned in English class...eg is the author trying to get across any messages and what does the group think of them.

So I just finished Force Heretic III from the NJO. One of the better books in the NJO story arc.

I would agree that was a better book from the NJO. My favorite is still the last of the series. I think it is Unifying Force.

The Unifying Force, Vector Prime, Star by Star, Traitor, Agents of Chaos I, and Dark Tide II: Ruin are my favorite.

It's interesting looking back to see how many of the books I liked from NJO. Many more than I would have expected.

I am getting my copy this week. Man it'll be cool to have a book to read again at my mandatory lunch breaks.
