12 Championships make the Packers the greatest NFL franchise of all time.

Curly Lambeau, Don Hutson, Bart Starr, Ray Nitschke, Paul Hornung, Arnie Herber, Vince Lombardi, Forrest Gregg, Reggie White and Brett Favre are some of the greatest players and coaches in NFL history. The two things they all have in common are that they're hall of famers and that they played for or still play for the greatest football team in the history of the entire universe.(Including Jupiter and Saturn's crappy squads)

So now, all the Cheeseheads of the JC can unite in this thread to discuss anything of relevance in the Packers world.

    49ers pwn j00!

The Pack is ok. They haven't been doing so good, but they were one of my favorite teams back when it was the Brett Favre-Antonio Freeman connection.

Even though I'm a Niners girl, I love the Pack. Several of my friends are diehard Cheeseheads - every week, we go to a local Packers bar to watch the game. We even located a Packers bar when we went to Vegas.

    Bears still suck!

EDIT: We're also going to the Packers/Seahawks MNF game on the 27th. [face_dancing]

Brett will always be my man, no matter how old he gets.

The Titans and the Pack. The only games I really watch. And the Titans suck this year.

I think it's in my best interest to inform the both of you that the Packers longest active win streak against any team is against the 49ers.

They've won the last 6 games between the two teams... haven't lost to them since before 1996. :p

This year's marquee *cough* match-up should be interesting. The battle for mediocrity! :p

Hey, Niners won in '98 in the playoff game. And I know ... the Pack pwned Niners time and time again. But this year, it shall change my friend. Niners will beat the Packers.

I don't think either team will finish 8-8... but it'd be cool if the Packers beat the Niners and finished at .500

    :p

Yeah I know, but the NFL doesn't recognize playoff games as parts of streaks.

And anyone who watched that game knows that jerry rice fumbled.

I actually had to go back and check to see if I messed up and wrote that.

    You silly, silly, Niners fan.

    Preview for tomorrow's game

two weeks ago I would've said the Packers had no shot at winning this game but that's when the Patriots were 6-1... now they're 6-3 and look very beatable. It's obviously not gonna be easy, but I think it can be done.

Still no word on the extent of Favre's injury?

I'm not going to be happy if he's out next week - I'm going to that game on Monday night.

The word is that it was a "nerve" injury in his elbow.

My money's on #4 starting in Seattle next Monday.

I'm going to stick my neck out here and possibly destroy whatever credibility I have left, but here goes...

I'm not *THAT* impressed by Brett Favre's consecutive games started streak. So he was blessed with a durable body, good for him. It seems to me a matter of circumstance more than anything. It ain't like the guy has been out there playing with broken legs, arms, etc. during the streak.

    ::runs away. fast::

I know for sure he had a broken thumb a couple years back... not to mention the multiple concussion's he's suffered. I know there's more injuries, but I don't feel like researching.

Poor Packers. How humiliating; but then again, it was the cheapshot Patriots who injured Favre ...

Well, Favre is going to have to start next Monday. Aaron Rodgers is out for the rest of the season due to a broken foot he sustained in yesterday's game.
