Is your computer tricked out? Have you customized it to your precise and scrutinizing desire? Have ya painted it? Installed custom switches? Have you done something so totally sweet words can't describe it? Or do you have plans to do something like that in the future? Whatever your case may be, tell the Star Wars FanForce allll about it!

With that said,I know I'm working on my baby. On friday I busted out my Dremel to install a window in my case, and while wrestling to get the blasted thing in I decided I better paint it now. I would hate to have to take out the window again after all the screaming and cussing I went through to put it in the first time. I plan to sand the case to the bare metal this weekend, and start painting it when the weather permits.
I'm really wondering if anyone else has plants to try this sort of thing? Painting your case, I mean.. I got the idea a couple years ago from Maximum PC (they did a How-To article available @ http://www.maximumpc.com/reprints/reprint_2002-02-21.html ).

I love my Dremel! We bought the thing with one purpose in mind, but it can be used for some many different things!! -- Just the other day I made a milkshake with it..... <_<

(well.. not really... but it's an idea!)

Well yesterday I actually primed my case, and painted the first layer of paint on it. Today I put on a second and third layer of spray paint, followed by about five layers of gloss. This case will be so sweet when I've finally finished it. I think I should have taken a couple pictures, shouldn't I have? Righto, well tomorrow I'm going to buff, wax, and finish installing the window. Then I get to brush up on my swap-tronics!

Is it me, or do I seem to be the only nerd around here who does this sort of thing?

You remember how I said I'd install my window? Yeah.. *grumble* Easier said than done. I now remember WHY I painted my case. It was to delay installing the bloody window! That thing, I swear to dog, takes atleast THREE people to install. Even then, that doesn't guarantee you'll get the rubber tubing to stay in place long enough to shove the plexiglass in it, and squeeze the securing rope between that... Has anyone ever tried this? If you haven't, don't! It's a pain in the arse. Maybe I can think of another mod to do? I could repaint my case....
