This is a stupid thread, I know. But for absurdity's sake...

Do you think Yoda has ever taken a bath his whole life? He has practically worn the same outfit the whole of the Star Wars series, except in the OT, his wardrobe got rattier.

Hey, Palpatine constantly changes costume (Palpatine, Sidious, Palpatine, Sidious), so we can at least be assured that he DOES take a bath. He's a politician. He HAS to look good and smell good. I can't speak for Palpatine, OT-era though.

    But Yoda? Hmmmm...

Post your absurd speculations here. :D

I suppose he got wet in Kamino, right? Does that constitute taking a bath? :D

    Provided he used soap.

Lots of flying whales to get soap from, I guess.

    Oops. Save the whales.

Then again, he could have used a domed version of his flying chair. Therefore he still couldnt have gotten wet.

Has there been any indication in the Expanded Universe that Yoda or anyone else takes a bath in the Star Wars Universe?
Notice that the most powerful entities in the galaxy are those that have substandard hygiene, take Jabba the Hutt for example, he's the most dreaded gangster in the galaxy, he's slimy, eats live frogs and sweaty from the intense heat of the tatooine desert, and the Emperor himself looks like his robes came from the time of the Knights of the Old Republic and he hasn;t changed out of them since the Prequel Era. Darth Vader's breathing is not due to some respiratory ailment, its because it smells inside the armor, he's got massive injuries and surgical prosthetics under all that leather.
On the rebels side there is the Wookie, Chewbacca who looks like a walking split-end and must smell like a gigantic wet dog, and he hangs out with the scruffy-looking nerf-herder.
Looking at the EU there is Prince Xizor, who as we all know, exudes 'Pheromones', supposedly to control or attract females to do his bidding, that's just a nice way of saying he stinks so much you'd lose your mind and your inhibitions.
Now, Yoda on the other hand is short, green and definitely looks like he hasn;t changed undies in centuries, this must be the reason why no one contests him in the Jedi Council, and how he escaped the Jedi Purge, the Imperial Troopers, including Darth Vader, and hunters like Boba Fett have helmets to protect them from poison gas or other offensive odors they must have tracked the Jedi from the smell of their soap or perfume, now if Yoda doesn;t take baths then they would have trouble finding him because their masks filter out the smell. that's how he survived the purge.
On the other end of the olfactory spectrum, there are the pathetic gungans, notice that they live underwater, which connotes to constant bathing, how much power do they have in the Star Wars Universe other than that which is delegated to them? Look how long it took for the obviously aquatic Mon Calamari to get anywhere before they were liberated from the empire, and miss Mon Mothma looked way to prim and proper to hold office for too long, she was immediately replaced.
In conclusion, the less baths you take, the better your chances of attaining power in the Star Wars Universe, the Force is not just felt, but it is smelt.
