Wow, that's a good price for Borders. They normally sell DVDs for $44.95.

    Welcome to the boards, Fredstar.

I've just seen a TV advert for the Episode II DVD / video - it's a pretty pathetic advert though, no sign of "Yo-Da Man" (thankfully) or the other US advert. [face_plain]

Nope, I don't watch that rubbish ... I saw the first advert during Sabrina. ;) I saw it again last night too.

damolay: What to do, what to do.

Not sure where or when yet, but I'm buying both the video and the DVD. I'm getting the video to complete the set (there will 95+% likely to be a video of Episode III as well) and I'm getting the DVD ready for when I eventually get a DVD recorder (either a TV box or in my computer). :)

alas, i've yet to succumb and buy it. trying to see if i can get the staff hook-up from my bro's g/f who works @ the Warehouse.

any particularly standout deleted scenes? can anyone confirm if the dooku/two sabers act made it in there?

Lawrence - is your shindig still on? What time are you planning to start the viewing - I've got to take my folks to the airport on that night and may be a little late...

Kai, yup .... still on, although I'm wondering if it's just gonna be you and me. The time is pretty flexible ... I thought people could come 'round some time after 7pm, for food/drink/socialising etc., and maybe start the film around 8-8:30pm-ish.

    But I'm flexible ...

So, anyone else coming? Lil' Lisa, Kitt, Damolay, Buzz?

You guys do realise that you're only going to save $3 on the DVD don't you? But I'm probably going to buy it then too (there's a Whitcoulls just two minutes away) if I don't go near a Foodtown/etc. during next week. :)

A true (tm) Star Wars fan would have bought it at midnight Nov 13, as far as I'm concerned ;)

*which I would have, if I hadn't been asleep until 11am the next day.

Nope, a True (tm)(c)(r) Star Wars Fan would have spent all their money getting the newest figures, comics, books, puzzles, clothing, magazines, ... from overseas and now wouldn't have any money left to buy the DVD/video. ;)

Got the DVD yesterday!! :D I went to Foodtown Greenlane but they said they were *gasp* sold out! [face_shocked] Either AOTC was more popular than I thought, or they didn't have much stock.

I told the lady at the checkout that Foodtown is selling it at $33.95 and got it at that price... no 10% off. :(

I'm guessing that last bit was the checkout of K-Mart. I'm not sure if they do the extra 10% off or not (obviously not, but some shops do), but I know they have a guarantee to equal the lower price - great if you live near a K-Mart, but Foodtown/etc. is a way off. :)

I live about 15 minutes walk from Foodtown but like I said they were sold out. I don't go to St Lukes that much, and only after I came out I realized there's a Foodtown downstairs, lol.

    And here's a link to those alt + #### characters you guys might want to use. 8-}

Hey, talking about comics ... is there any chance of us seeing this 'Empire' comic over here? I want to read it.

I keep seeing stacks of these Jedi vs Sith comics around, but I can't see what they have to do with star wars, lol.
