Like NY I am in love with the dark, rich, yet soothing colours.

Thank you all for your kind words.
The next one is a drawing (sketch) for a large oil-painting that will be shown here as it develops.

Thank you and here is the second layer of the oilpainting

The background is just the dark colours with some light ones added.
The figures and the faces began as red and brown sketches and have now the first white, yellow, red and brown added.

The picture here is about the size of A4 (scanner can only scan that)

Oh wow, this is looking excellent!

I really like how you are working layering colors. That works really well with the inherent luminosity that oil paintings always seem to have.

    This is wonderful, sweet bird!

Sorry that I have not looked for a while now. Being so busy with my fanfic as you know. ;)

We have not seen each other the entire summer. Please check out ´jouw agenda en misschien kunnen wij dan weer iets afspreken´. Argh, you clearly see that the summer is over. With the start of school a lot of Dutch words & thoughts leak out of me. Oh, nein, ich bin verloren!

Anyway, I do love the contemplation that your paintings possess. They are like Indian mudras. If you could visit us on a Sunday we might pop into a nearby art gallery where my ´tand hygiëniste´ works between 11:00h & 17:00h. Knowing how much you love colours and deepth you will like the place.

Are you sure you really want to transport that in your car?

I rather have you visit us without any large paintings just with painting material. When the weather stays that nice we could work together in the garden.

Otherwise we have the big round table in the living room.

The 2nd layer is looking great. May I ask how long does it usually take before your oil art work dries?
