Discussions EU characters you really dislike

Post-NJO. Then again, one can argue that even THAT was creepy with the whole 'Vong-Torture Cult' aspect.

 

Some could argue that it got creepy with the creation of Jar-Jar Binks.

 

Characters I can't stand? Off the top of my head, I can remember that I've never liked Atris, Dooku, any of the Yuuzhan Vong, and I've never really been a fan of Callista

 

Droma was bad. But I admit that maybe it was too soon.
X-7 was a total bore.
Hethrir and Waru, however, are hands down the most awful characters in the entire SW library. I think that's largely because they're in the most awful book in the entire SW library.

 

I'd have to say Alema Rar. Just kill the b***h already!
Callista. I don't know why, I just never liked her. No chemistry between her and Luke at all.
Vergere -- I still think she was just a wannabe Sith. And maybe she saved Mara with her tears, but the way she abused Jacen she seriously screwed him up, and lead him to the Dark Side. Stupid B***h.
Bria. HATE HATE HATE!!! HATE!!!!

I hate Borsk, but he's the kind of character you love to hate, so I don't know if he counts. You're supposed to hate him.

 

I agree on the Borsk bit. He's the bully you like to watch lose. He's a good dislike as it were.

Bror Jace. Disliked him too. But then, I'm a Corran fan.

EDIT: I thought you said Bossk, not Borsk! No no no no no! Borsk is never a good dislike for me! Him and Natasi Daala can burn!

 

Well, in the Bothan's case he did burn. Just in a fiery explosion

Carth - Whiny with the worst voice actor ever.

Bao-Dur - Not so much him but his whispering voice actor.
I-5 - ridiculous droid sue
Quinlan Vos
Thrawn - Not so much Thrawn, but Zahn's obsession with him.
Ahsoka
Starkiller
Mara Jade - Just terrible in every way and Zahn's complete ignorance of her.
Kyp Durron - In the JAT, he's fine in the NJO.
Callista
Akanah - Probably my most hated character.
Jacen Solo

 

I don't see how Thrawn takes over whatever he appears in. All I ever see with Thrawn is an intriguing villain that I appreciate.

 

Yeah, you want Character love? Traviss and the Mandos. That's taking over the story and not Thrawn.

 

Tahiri, Hethrir, Akanah, Borsk, Rush Clovis, any Hapan female, Callista.

 

Anakin's lousy apprentices Ahsoka Tano and Galen Marek, Juno Eclipse, Admiral Daala, TOR Sith Emperor, Rosh Penin, Cad Bane, TCW Darth Maul and Savage Oppress, Vader Jr.(Not Jacen but the poser who took over post NJO), Saba Sebatyne.

 

IG-88: totally undermines the Saga and stretches believability

Lord Kaan: ended the New Sith Wars with the thought bomb when the New Sith Wars were supposed to have ended due to infighting

EU Darth Bane: mischaracterized to the max. GL Darth Bane is a genius who solved the Sith's problems by creating the Rule of Two, EU Darth Bane is an utter fool who sacrificed Sith control of the galaxy in order to implement the Rule of Two

I hate Vitiate so much that I hope TOR occurs in an alternate universe in which Palpatine was born 5000 years early and named Vitiate.

 

Jacen Solo he had the potential but ultimately they ruined his character quick and him getting killed off was the only thing left to do because he had been a waste already.

 

I'm not flaming your point of view, but I saw it as a crippled and failing sith army, on their last leg with galactic support throughout the galaxy being systematically destroyed by the Jedi and the Republic and bane putting their badly organized, and weak practice of subservience to other sith lords down like a wounded animal, paving the way for the use of deception and lies to be used as the tools of the Sith. (which was ultimately more successful)
