OK, I'm reposting the info from the March Meeting Minutes:

    March of Dimes

Julie from the March of Dimes was there to present her event to us. The event will be held:

    April 22nd
we need to be there in costume by 7:30am
    U of A

This will be a major event for the TFF. We will be there to kick off the event and welcome runners back and entertain the kids, etc.

We discussed other things that we can do for the March of Dimes such as fundraising at Kmart and Frys.

We had also discussed having a Polaroid camera and film for people to get pics done. We need to discuss that.

So, we now need to hear who will be there and in what costume.

Also, if you don't have a costume let us know. We can probably get a TFF t-shirt and we are going to need wranglers.

I'll be debuting my Barris Offee and will be "wrangling" Darth Vader.

    List of People attending

    Jada - Barris Offee

We really need people to help with the heavily costumed characters.

A SIDE NOTE to those of you who may not understand the concept of "wrangling".
People wearing masks (i.e. - Vader, troopers,...)are virtually blind. They need somebody around them who can see the terrain and guide them, kind of like a seeing-eye dog. Also to keep the (very few) jerks out there from stealing pieces of costumes.
Wrangling may not seem as glamorous as wearing a costume, but it is every bit as IMPORTANT to the overall event running smoothly. ("Mommy, Mommy, the Wookiee stepped on Jimmy!" That we don't need.)

Also, Damien, my Barris costume is just a variation on my current costume. ;)

I'll be there. I can definitely help with the wrangling.
I have my Jedi costume down here now, so I'll be brave and wear that.

I will be there as Jango and I am trying to get the wife to go to take pictures and help me wrangle or wrangle me as it were...........

I have found 2 Polaroid cameras to take with us, don't know if we want to charge for pics to get our money back or just use some for Dustin's album. Both cameras need film and as far as I know they both work.

The real graflex (which was used as Luke's in the holiday special) is either light or heavy, I can remove the battery if needed.

Jack, I'm assuming U R wanting the hasbro qui-gon? You might want to "re-paint" so it does not look like a toy.

falling asleep.. but just wanting to say.. looks like ya'll are doing great at getting this planned in my absence.. makes my heart soar. Once I have a day or two of home rest under my back brace I will get as involved as my body will allow in the planning.

I've got a Hasbro Qui-Gon. They are selling it at Wal-Mart as a combo "Jedi vs Sith" set. Why Hasbro stuck both red and blue (plastic), instead of the green, blades in Qui-Gon's lightsaber I will never know.

Jack, as impressive as Qui Gon is (lasting one episode and all) I think you're int he same boat that I am, Chewy is just such a fan fave I think you and I are only going to get to wear our other costumes outside of Tucson!

Yes you two are. When people come and see us, its the 7 foot tall Wookie that draws them in, then its the Dark Lord Of the Sith that finishes them off...we are just the nougat in between. :(
