Who: The Phoenix Fan Force (i.e. any warm body that wants to come)

What: PFF Potluck Picnic (a day at the park)

Where: Optimist Park (See map below in Kreleia's post)
    When: Saturday November 5th from 11:00 - 6:00(ish)

Why: Because the weather is nice!

Cost: Inexpensive (Just bring food or beverage to share )

Everybody bring food/beverage to share, burgers to grill, etc.
Maybe plan a game of volleyball, football, or whatever.
There are two playgrounds, and the park is dog friendly. Just kick back and relax with friends while the weather's nice.

Please post if you will be attending and what you will be bringing.

    Needs:
Main Dishes (chicken, burgers, hot dogs, etc)
Accompaniments for above (buns, catsup, mustard, mayo, lettuce, tomato, etc.)
Side Dishes (potato salad, chips, etc)
    Paper plates, napkins, cups, utensils
    Soda and water
    Dessert-type stuff

Also, if anybody has any sporting goods that they want to bring it would be appreciated.

Okay. Park is called "Optimist Park" - yes, this is the one near La Casa de Mick y Void.

Here's a map to get there. Please note, I have purposely left off Void and Mick's address. If you don't know where their house is already, PM JPAZ, Carol, or myself for directions.

Also, for those that participate, this is the same park where Void teaches Kenpo.

    Now...

    WE NEED FOOD!!

What's a picnic without food, after all? We need any of the following:

    Chicken
    . . .Alec (clichekiller) - 1 KFC bucket

    Cold cuts
    cheeses
sandwich fixin's - i.e., mayo, mustard, pickles, tomatoes, lettuce, etc.
salads - i.e., potato, pasta, garden (bring dressing), etc.
Beverages - stuff that fits into a cooler is good
. . .Chris (Lord Matsu) - Mt. Dew

Desserts - i.e., brownies, cookies, yummy sweet-ish stuff
    Napkins
    Cups
    Bags of ice
    Coolers (at least 2)
    Tablecloths
    Paper plates
    Trash bags (many)

Rob and I have TONS of plastic knives, forks and spoons that we will bring.

As far as I know, Tempe does not allow alcoholic beverages in parks. Considering that this is a neighborhood park, and there will be (non PFF) children around, I highly recommend that we abstain from consuming alcohol at this event. If you have a strong objection to this, please contact the officers, or take it upon yourself to find out what Tempe actually officially says about this.

    ALSO NEEDED!!:

sports stuff - i.e., baseball stuff, volleyball stuff, soccer balls, basketballs, karate gear, bad-mitten (or however it's spelled), croquet, anything outdoors-y that can be played in a park.

If you want to bring dogs, they are more than welcome! Just be sure to bring supplies to poop-scoop.

I will add names to the food/supply list as people volunteer!
