FF:SA EVENT: Six Year Olds Birthday Party - Star Wars characters needed

Hi everyone,

I've been contacted by a lady who wants some SW characters for her son's 6th birthday party! So check out the details below, and if you definitely can attend, put your name down. First SAFFers in best dressed ... or is that costumed?

Details:

When? Will either be December 11, 12 or 19 (they're trying to get their brother in from interstate who is a massive SW fan!)
Where? Adelaide Hills
Number of characters? Up to 4

I know details are a bit sketchy currently, but, how can we pass up an opportunity like this?

 

just a heads up on this one buddy, the weekend of 11th-12th might prove hard with troops all over it, i know the sunday one goes most of the day
i mean if the times work out you might get sum...

i can probably help out on the sunday 19th (if its that day)

(and i should have my new amazing costume by then too )

They've decided to have the party this Saturday, 11th. I've let them know that it's possibly too late to get someone as it's that time of year, but will let them know for sure on Thursday night.

Hopefully they remember us for the 7th birthday!

CR EDIT: Now it may be moved to the 19th!! More info as it comes in!

 

If it is moved to the 19th and the weather is good...I am up for it !

 

I return to Oz on the 19th, so unless I can borrow Jen's slave Leia, I'll probably have to pass

The party has been moved to the 19th, definitely! So please, who can definitely go along? I'll defer to others at this stage (due to my work Xmas party being the night of the 18th), but if needed, I'll go.

Any takers? They're offering pizza and drinks!

DETAILS:

WHEN: Sunday December 19 - Your appearance will be from 12:00pm to 12:30pm
WHERE: Aldgate (I'll PM the address to you both)

NOTES: Enter through the front door (come up through the gate in the front yard under the archway). They will try to keep the kids busy out the back so they can?t see you coming in and will get you guys to hand out the Jedi training awards and bring out the cake.

They're asking what characters you'll be going as. If you could let me know (PM if needed) so I can pass that along, that'd be great. Thanks chaps!

Sounds like it was fantastic! Thanks to JTN, Kitty, and DLA for representing SAFF so well. You guys saved and covered for my patootie! Thankyou so much!

I have seriously had one of THE best times trooping ever!!!

Kitty, DLA & myself arrived at the party destination at 11:15am to be greeted warmly at the front door by the father of the birthday boy and were directed to the changing quarters. Met with the party contact, who herself is a mad Star Wars fan and was offered refreshments.

At about 12pm we were introduced to the party guests and met with total excitement and very happy smiles.
We were required to hand out Jedi training awards to the birthday participants and S.W. party favour bags. We joined in with training remote practice, answered many questions about who we were and where we come from and had many photos taken.

After about 45 mins the Stalker and Stormie retired back to the changing room. When we re-emerged we were offered party food and drinks to help replenish energy levels. After much chatter and laughs about everything we have done to entertain children everywhere, we finally left the party place at 3:30pm
