IC: Lornba Kees

"Close enough," a voice said at her other side. So there were still Jedi, and for once, they might be useful. "It'd be nice to know who I'm talking to."

Kev answered, but trailed off, probably unsure whether to say anything about her. Lorna scowled. How much worse could it become?

"Fett here," she bit out, bracing herself for some questioning. She might be out of armour and in no shape to fight a Jedi, but it would not stop her from trying. And once she found out who had taken the armour -

Just calm down, she told herself.

OOC: Sorry to say, but I am on a two week holiday in Bulgaria now. Don't think I can post any. So feel free to drag Lorna along. I allow for her to be God-moded for as long as I am gone. But keep it to the ToS, boys.

 

OOC: we're doomed!

IC:
D'Shan smiled unseen in the dark. He knew that Fett was not all that he appeared to be but couldn't put a finger on why. It would seem that the answer was now apparent.

"To state the obvious, we have a power failure. We should get it back up again soon, or at least emergency power." D'Shan sniffed the air. "We should be fine for now, but we won't last long if there are no life support systems running."

He sighed. As much as he didn't like bounty hunters he could guess that this Fett's helmet would be really handy.

IC: Kyp

The power went out and then the door opened. Kyp got to his feet and hurried to take a peek outside. He assumed it was a corridor -- it was too dark to see. But he heard voices; he recognized the scientist and the other Jedi. But the woman?

"You guys already find a way out of this dump?" He called as he felt his way down the corridor to the small group of people.

IC as Cleaya

It was the opening doors that woke Cleaya. She stared at the ceiling for a moment, trying to gather memories before moving to her feet. She had no idea where she was, but the thing that concerned her the most was her clothing. Or lack thereof.

That meant no lightsaber.

To make matters worse she couldn't see a thing. She shivered. It was rather nippy, too.

Shoving a foot forward, she carefully made her way out of what appeared to be a cell. Why was I in a cell?

Once outside, she could dimly feel other beings around her. "Where is this?"

IC: D'Shan

"Finding a way out would be a good idea," said D'Shan. In truth, he didn't know which way to go. "Finding power would be a good start."

It was then that he sensed someone new and heard them. He turned to face her, "we're on a station of some sort. That's as much as any of us knows. Where in the galaxy we are is anyone's guess."

"Could you give us a name? I'm Keyan D'Shan, Jedi Knight of the Republic."

He pinched the bridge of his nose. Trying to sense everything continuously was beginning to give him a headache.

IC: Lorna Kees

Great, Lorna thought, a power failure. And a bunch of confused people on top of that. This could be difficult. At least, D'Shan seemed the type to take action, that made two of them already.

"Power sounds good," she said into the darkness. "Anybody got any gear left?" It was too bad that right now her helmet was gone. Those floor plans might have been rather useful.

"Until we have light, I suggest we spread out systematically until one hits something useful. We don't have by chance a specialist for electronics among us? One that can work in the dark?"

IC as D'Shan:

D'Shan sat down on the cold hard floor. "I can guide you in the dark, but I don?t know which way to go." He sighed. "Whatever we do, we should do it soon, I'm guessing that life support is down as there's no power."

Struggling back to his feet, he looked around uselessly in the dark. "I can sense a door unlike the cell doors at the end of this room, there might be some equipment in it. Who wants to come with me?"

D'Shan got a bearing and shut out the force, his head was really beginning to hurt.

OOC: Phhfft, blame the computer, it told me that there were exactly 100 words.

 

OOC: Forgive, silver. I suspected something like that.



IC: Lorna Kees

No gear, Lorna decided on the lack of replies. It was almost funny to consider them, caught in only their undies. Too bad the lights were off, it would have been quite a sight.

"I can sense a door unlike the cell doors at the end of this room."

It was as good a start as any. At least, they wouldn't have to try each cell.

"I'm in," Lorna replied. Doing anything was better than just sitting around. She groped her way to the Jedi. "You want to lead by sound? I'm not so much a fan of skin contact."

IC: Kyp

"We should head to the opposite direction as well." Kyp commented, squinting in the dark. It was a silly endeavor he knew, but the hope to at least see a silhouette of something was still present.

"D'shan goes the way he senses the door and I'll head into the other direction. It would be best to split into teams."
He sighed and dragged a hand through his shaggy hair. He was getting cold: he drew the Force around himself like a blanket. He hoped that when they ventured out to find a power source, they would find clothing as well.

OOC: exactly 100 words. I paid attention this time.
Oh and what sort of reprecussion are we talking about?

 

OOC: sorry for not posting in ages, the puppy is keeping me busy from 7am until gone 9pm and the little blighter really wears me out.

IC: D'Shan

D'Shan twisted his head round to look at the other Jedi, or at least where his voice came from. "That won't do any good. It's a dead end that way." Sensing what Kyp was doing, D'Shan smirked, "oh, and you don't know cold until you?ve been to Toola."

Looking back in the direction of the door, he set off walking slowly, whistling out of tune and off key.

When he got to the door, D'Shan tried to open it with brute force and failed. He tried using The Force, but found he couldn't do anything other than use it passively.

OOC: I think Klaus needs to check to see who hasn't said anything yet, he seems to be a bit late making good on his threat.

 

IC: Lorna Kees

"I don't think splitting up will do any good except get us lost." Jedi were said to be able to sense each other in the Force, but Lorna was not willing to bet he life on that.

Following D'Shans off-key whistling they reached the door. The Jedi tried to open it, but without success.

"We need some leverage," Lorna mused, "and probably more manpower. You think we can pull one of the bunk out of the wall and us that?"

Provided the rest of the gang helped, and didn't start wandering off. At least, the exercise would keep her warm.

OOC: I'm sorry I haven't posted in a while. I'm burnt out on drabbling.

IC: Kev

Kev followed along quietly. He didn?t feel he had anything important to add to the conversation, and he knew he wouldn?t be good with anything electrical... I?m a scientist, not an engineer. He hoped he didn?t bump into anyone.

When they reached the door, he spoke uncertainly, ?I?ll try to help, though I?m not exactly the epitome of strength.? He felt along the wall and door to get to the part he needed to pull, and felt bare flesh. Pulling away, he muttered, ?Sorry.? Glad it was dark, his face reddened. He hoped it was a hand he had touched.

 

OOC: I?m a scientist, not an engineer.

IC: Lorna Kees

?I?ll try to help, though I?m not exactly the epitome of strength.? Kev's voice came approaching them. His searching hand descended on her arm. ?Sorry,? he said almost immediately.

"It's okay," Lorna replied, "nobody can see anything."

She turned. "Do you think we can break free a bed and use it as lever? Once we have that door open, we can make for the control centre." She tried to remember her brief glance on the floor plans. "Up several floors, I think."

She groped her way into the cell, stopping in it's middle. "Which part is easiest to break off?"

IC: D'Shan

D'Shan smirked but said nothing as he followed Lorna into the cell. Running his hands over the bunk, he found a week spot. "This bit," he said in reply to Lorna's question. Gripping it tightly, he wrenched it hard.

Returning to the closed door, he thrust it through the opening edge. "Here goes nothing," he said, pushing with all his might. The door gave suddenly and D'Shan tumbled to the ground.

Picking himself up her went through the open door way. "It's not the way out, but at least we have light now," he said, holding up a portable glowlamp.

IC: Kev

When the light from the glowrod came on, Kev was abashed that where he was looking was the shapely figure of a woman. Thankfully, it was the rear view, and Kev quickly looked away, hoping no one noticed. Still, his face felt uncomfortably warm. Forgive me, Verna, he muttered under his breath.

He shivered as the rest of him felt just the opposite. "This should help us find a power switch. It's getting rather cold." He rubbed his arms and shivered again.

 

IC: Lorna Kees

The door came open and D'Shan suddenly turned on a glowrod. The light flickered across the bulkheads with each movment, throwing strange shadows into the corridor. #

"At least we have a light now," he announced, but seeing how he, too, seemd to be in his shift, Lorna was not sure that this was much of an improvement. Feeling something in her back, she turned. Kev stood tehre, obviously looking very much away.

"This should help us find a power switch. It's getting rather cold."

Lorna nodded. "Maybe we can find something to use as clothes, too. Though I don't belive anybody was so kind to elave a crate of overalls behind." She followed D'Shan through the door into the semidarkness behind it.

"If I remember correctly, the comms centre is up, which puts the actual facility into the lower levels. Usually. Most species think alike. I'd say we go to the source and try to fix things there."

She looked at teh other waiting for their answers and plans.
