I'm just wondering in case I decide to come and join again. Is it only Imperial Intelligence, Army, and Navy. Or are there smaller branches within those? If so, can you give me some examples?

Yes there are smaller specific divisions in each branch.

Imperial Intelligence has its own Special Forces, Inquisition, Army and Navy. Plus other divisions I'm probably unaware of.

Imperial Armed Forces has the Special Forces, Armored Assault Division, Army Intelligence, Infantry Division, and other divisions I should know about.

Imperial Fleet has the Navy Troopers, Special Forces, Navy Intelligence, Political Officer Division, and Starfighter Corps which has been closed off to players due to a lack of interest and that space battles go by way too fast for them to keep up.

Then there are branches that do not fall under the main three. Politicians, Assassins, Bounty Hunters, the Secret Order of the Emperor, the Hand of Thrawn, and so on.

How many of those guys are PC's. Which ones are NPC's?

 

Colonel Kit Werner is the only PC, but Corporal Kitty Vwen and Private William Riggers are my NPCs. Everyone else in the unit are NPCs and up for grabs.
