    AMD Athlon 900MHZ
    384 MB RAM
    20 GB HD
    64mb nVidia Riva TNT2
Windows 2K (Going to XP when my flatmate gets back from holidays)
10/100 Ethernet card (useless now I off the uni network)
56K modem (that will only connect at 28k.)
    Soundblaster Live PCI64
    Cambridge speaker system
    17" Diamond View monitor
    Pioneer 8x DVD-ROM

Pretty sad, but it gets me by enough.

S_E_A: Go to computer fairs and build your own. This set-up was only $1900 including a printer and a couple of other extras.

Oh Bib, don't be silly. If you salvage the case, cd rom, etc., you could get a good one for like $600.

Hardware Specs don't always perform the way it was intented to...what I've learned these past years is that the people have same Nvidia or the same Sound Blaster, or the same Ram, perform differently.

Some times software Configuration could be the reason, it's setting wrong... too much defragmentation, causing systems to slow down when play games, surfing the web.

A good Benchmark/diagnose tool can tell you a lot about your computer. What you guys think is the BEST benchmark?

The pcpitstop.com one I mentioned allowed me to spot a lot of problems, that I needed to fix, now I've NO red flags. HEHE pretty good :)

What I always do when I test my computer is to test without ANY programs running in the background.

I am NOT satisfied with my scores yet, because it's NOT Pentium 4 or Athlon 1G+. I do have 512MB RAM, and that's helpful in a lot of ways these days. :)

I am SOrry, but it's the Truth, Long.

Some people have the SAME exact specs as you do Long, could perform better, or worse.

A lot of it is in Hardwares, but also A lot of it is Softwares... OS configurations.

    Anything I said wrong?

Honestly, JM22... you have the most backwards way when it comes to thinking about things. True, listing your system specs doesn't give you any sort of idea how powerful the system is [unless you have a lot of experience with different hardware configurations], but most benchmarks don't truely offer real-world scenarios. At any rate, I digress. You're intentionally driving a topic away from its original intent, where Long asked users to post their system specs. Stop spamming this thread with your idea, trying to change the whole purpose fo the thread. If you don't knock it off, I'm going to ban you for a week. A lot of poeple are getting really sick of your spamming.

Alright, there you go ... to make up for the upsets that I've caused.

    My System Specs:

    Intel PIII 933MHZ

    512MB

60GB Hard Drive, partitions all the way to H:

PC Magazine Editor's Choice ATI Radeon (I Got a HUGE discount for it, so I didn't buy Nvidia, but I WILL)

    ATI TV Wonder VE

Sound Blaster Live Gamer 5.1, like I said, too late for return it and get Audigy instead.

    16X DVD-ROM 40X CDrom

    A standard CD-RW burner.

    56K modem, fax capable

    10/100mb Ethernet card

And surely, a Free Webcam (poor Quality),

    A Rumbling Gravis gamepad.

And Windows XP professional because I am also MSDN.

So, that's it... things you don't REALLY need to know like the MS Game Voice, TI-89 port, Cue, they are also attached to my computer... just u know, let you know...

    NOT satisfied...NOT really, I want Better!!! :)
