Niagara, ON Grape & Wine Parade

I'd like to make it out. I think I actually will again this year.

 

Buffalo has just had an event been requested for this day, so we will unfortunately not be able to attend. We hope everyone has a good time and will be waiting to see the pictures from the parade.

Already posted, but I will be there. My brother Devon and my girlfriend Shelby will most likely be there in costume as well.

 

Dan and myself in costume. Although I still need to figure out what I am gonna do with the kids...

I will not be walking in this Parade afterwards though I would like to come later or possibly before to give anyone who needs a hand getting into costume. Though there is the possibilty I may be called to work that weekend as well.

 

My Gang is all interested in coming, and at least 3 of us marching

 

I think we should work out a costume list as soon as we can. If the organizers wants us to be better organized and better looking we should work on canon/recognizable costumes and no duplicates of characters. I know we have several Jedi at any time, but we only need one vader, one Boba, etc. Anyone who saw the Rose Parade earlier this year knows what I mean.

I'll be attending as Darth Vader . If you dont want doubles I know Roy has a Tie pilot costume I hope he doesn't mind.

 

September 29th is the day after my birthday, but I'll be there, and perhaps a few others from London as well.

As usual, I'll be dressed as Jocasta Nu. I finally have my costume 100% done, and it looks very good now! (too bad I don't have an impressive lightsaber yet.)

Are we still doing the pot-luck lunch?

My brother and I will both be attending as Jedi. As for Shelby, she may be a Jedi as well, but for now her costume is TBA.

Brian doesn't have a Star Wars costume, so he can help with the parade, or someone else can toss him into so random costume if they'd like.

I will come! but this is my first time i just need to find out the time and where we are meeting in St.catharines and any other details that i might need and I would LOVE to do this cause i have a costume. just send the details to my email happy_doddle@hotmail.com

 

If people need costume parts, I have a Jar Jar mask and a green robe that go well together for "Senator Jar Jar", a few Darth Maul masks (one with a hooded cloak attached) and a Darth Maul lightsaber that cannot be used for dueling (it falls apart) and I might be able to get an Emperor Palpatine robe (ROTJ) finished. It's half done now.

 

I'm assuming we'll be meeting at the Mason Hall to change same as last year?

So there will be a vehicle in the parade? I was just thinking about how to supply bottled water to marchers during the parade. Usually that was in the truck...

I'm also assuming that YJN will be collecting donations towards food and hall rental again?

Young Jedi Niagara (YJN) will be taking part in the annual Grape & Wine Parade in St. Catharines. If you have a "Star Wars" costume and you would like to join us in the parade, you are welcome to do so. Costume prep/changing will be done at the Masonic Hall between 9:00am - 10:00am.

If you do not have a costume, but would like to meet the club members for pictures or general inquiries, you are welcome to come to our annual post parade potluck dinner (please bring a food item to share) located at the Masonic Hall on Center St. The pot luck dinner will be held immediately after the parade ends.

YJN asks for a $5-$10 fee for the "Beef on a Bun" portion of the pot luck dinner. All proceeds raised will be donated to Women?s Place St. Catharines, the charity we have supported for the last ten years.
