Screams the Jawa after receiving his motherboard back after 3 weeks of waiting for a new one to come back on warrentee and ITS STILL BUGGERED!!!

Now, whats really sad is how no-one noticed that i hadnt posted in over 3 weeks

I was a tad p*ssed off last night...

3 weeks ago I took my motherboard in to replace it on warrentee. Due to the age of it, they had to get one from thailand (or somewhere up there). Anyhow... tick-tock, 3 weeks drag by with no computer use *eye twitches* and I got it back yesterday afternoon..

Overwelming Joy quickly turned to frustration and sheer @#$%^! when it did EXACTLY what it was doing before... So i took my whole comp down the shop and they spent the day looking at it..

Thier "expert" (and I use the term loosely) opinion after about 6 hours of testing etc is... wait for it...

"We dont know, seeya later!"

Jawa, what seems to be the problem with it.
I'm not a computer whiz, but hardware seems to like me.

I can come have a look at it for you sometime if you like........ I can't promise anything, but its better than nothing...

Yeh I've tried calling you but no one ever picks on the phone. I guess with work and tafe and all you must be busy. I'll try calling you again...

 

Failing that, get one of the friendly local Sith to force choke him from a distance. That should get his attention.

sigh *drinks the blue milk*, It died again 15 mins after i wrote that last post...

since the motherboard doesnt seem to be the source of the problem, EM computers are having another wild stab at troubleshooting and are sending the cpu back for replacement...

D_S - its getting really REALLY hot.. ie CPU- 70C+ and M/B- 60C+
They first thought it was the m/board, so they sent that back to get replaced... after 3 weeks a new one came back and it still did it...
Its the last time i ever buy something from this place... they dont know what thier doing down there...

hopefully i'll be back on my own computer soon... gotta a loan computer from a friend atm.. dont get me wrong, i apreciate it, but this celeron sucks compared to my 1.4ghz P4 Uber-computer

 

Stay away from me. My PC's running particularly well right now and I don't want to be jinxed.

I got the 423.. with rdram... *droolze* good stuff that, but very expensive

 

Have you tested your power supply out because I've seen the problem before when things get really REALLY hot?
