Haha, what do you know. It´s a long time since my last visit here, and I find this. I´ve never made a fanfilm, but I learned a LOT about after effects (and SFX in general) reading posts here. Loved this radio show. I agree with what somebody said: this was all happening BEFORE youtube. I remember downloading fanfilms with slow dial-up modens and that took forever, but it was great. Remember the Dastoli brothers? Where are they now? I was surprised to see them in a brief shot of Fincher´s "The Social Network". They released like a film a week!

and thank God Duality was mentioned. That was my inspiration as well.

 

Yeah, funny how the fanfilm thing never worked out for me, but Duality is still the reason I'm doing film today. Ten minutes totally changed my entire perspective on what you could do without a hollywood budget.
