DFW, TX Indiana Jones announced on DVD today!

Well, it's official. The Indiana Jones trilogy will be released on DVD on November 4 of this year. It's going to be a four disc set, and best of all--Lucas and Spielberg aren't tinkering with the films! They're going to be remastered and remixed, but the films will be exactly the same.

Also no director's commentaries either though... that sux.

No deleted scenes either. The trailer on indianajones.com is cool.

 

No deleted scenes, no commentaries, no DTS...one of those alone wouldn't be so bad, but I'm getting concerned here. You would think that each film would deserve a 2 disc set. I'm not worried about the commentary so much because Lucas is pretty boring on them, and Spielberg never does commentary. And Harrison Ford? Well, he doesn't strike me as the most interesting of people to listen to.

However, if there are deleted scenes, they damn well better be on there.

 

I just don't get the no commentary thing. When I make movies, I'm going to be all about commentaries on my DVDs. Oh well.

 

TFN just posted a story that indicates there WILL be at least some deleted scenes and commentaries on the set. Lucasfilm did say that all of the features haven't been decided on yet, so more will be announced soon.

Hopefully this means they are doing the set right afterall.
