i'll be creating a new animation cycle with the arms today in 4 arm mode cause the 2 arm mode will be a little harder for me to do because he has 2 elbows in 1 arm so if anyone has any suggestions on how i can easely animate his arms bending like that feel free to tell me

Ravenger, I took a look at the first one (which i downloaded from the yousendit link) and it looks awesome! The only thing I might say is that grievous' head needs to come down a little more as he puts each foot down.

I tried to view the second one from the other vid hosting site, but it wouldn't work. If you don't mind, could you stick to yousendit. It's probably the best hosting site IMO. What format did you use for the first one? Was the second one different?

erm you know you can also view this in windows media player and winamp

right click on the file then in the menu you get there should be an option open with then simply select windows media player or winamp and viola

 

doesn't work....

 

The second one looks good but--the arms, legs and back are having quick movements, like he is hauling something heavy around, that's the right thing to do, but his torso needs to move up and down more it seems more like his limbs are reacting from a movement that isn't there.

It still looks really cool, I like the standing up part but I think he needs to be more hunch-backed. His head should still come down lower as he puts his feet down, and maybe he could be a bit slower.

it does indeed however there is still something that bugs me
when i want to turn the leg left and right it wont because the the IK handle is set to sticky
now i find it rather usefull to have it on sticky but only when i turn it off sticky does it does it rotate at all

any suggestions?

 

The first one, without his arms, looks really good Ravenger. In the second one his arms jump around way too much, but I like how you're moving them independently of each other (more apparant on the right side).

One thing: shouldn't the plates above his legs move with his legs instead of the hips?

i used a refrence of the the inside of the hand from the visual dictionary of episode 3

i'll be making an other animation of it tomorow
