Japanese Rebirth Cover

A lotta better than the new Recovery cover, I really like it.

But I like the US cover, too...

What do you think ?

 

Can you at least give us the pic or link? Ive never seen it.

 

It's got Anakin, Tahiri, and Ikrit, with the same old pic of Mara up in the corner and Luke standing with his lightsaber held horizontally rather than verticallyl.

EDIT: Nevermind, I was thinking of Conquest I guess...

 

Ugh! I hate the way Leia looks. And Mara looks too young for 46. Han and the Solo kids are drawn better.

really, really brilliant cover. Anakin looks a bit old though....or is it just me? Mara's pose looks a bit strange but I really like the pose of Anakin and Tahiri.

What's the possibility that we can get the artist(s) that do the Japanese covers to do the US ones?!!! I love almost all of the Japanese covers whereas the US covers don't do much for me at all.

 

Isn't that Jacen? His eyes are brown. Doesn't Jacen have the purple saber? I thought Jaina did.

 

I love the cover except for leia. Is it Just me or does she look like Checkoff (I know I spelled that wrong) from Star Trek?

To sum it up in a word: Wow!

 

I don't want to got against everyone. I like the cover, its just that the characters don't look like what they are supposed to. Anikin looks nice, but he does looks too old. And i hate Mara's picture. Tahiri looks cool though.

 

Anakin looks too old (I thought Kyp at first), and wtf is the killer from Scream doing there?

The 'killers from Scream' are Givins, from the planet Yag'Dhul.

I like it. I agree Mara looks goofy, though.
Anakin looks just about as I would picture him - at 20 or so.

 

I thought the other Japanese NJO covers were pretty good and "okay" ( still better than U.S. versions ) but this Rebirth one takes the taco. THIS, my friends, is how a NJO book cover should be. Mara looks gorgeous, Tahiri and Anakin look cool, and the colors, shading and everything is just right. Han looks really good.

I have to say...the U.S. cover is just plain crap compared to this. ( No offense to Terese Neilson. )

 

Mara? Gorgeous...enh, ok, whatever, Xixor. She looks WEIRD to me. And I like the way they foreshadow anakin at 22...

Other than that, yeah, its much much better than the US one...it is a full cover, it seems, while the blurb on the US one blocks out the back picture of the octopus-thing (thats also on the japanese cover, right?)

The Japanese covers are very hit and miss in terms of character sketches at least in my opinion. I think I prefer the US ones.

 

Yes, that's the only negative thing, pretty much, about the Japanese covers. The EU characters are not portrayed correctly all the time. ( They still look good though. )

Also, why are the U.S. Prequel-Era book covers so good? They blow away U.S. and Japanese NJO book covers.

EDIT : And by the way, it's in fact 2 front covers combined in 1. (Or 1 cover split in 2 front covers, it depends on the point of view.) Each NJO book is split in 2 shorter books in Japan.
