    I think it's fair to say that (despite the stupid attempt at appeasing old-school fans) the reboot is outside of the first 10 films' continuity.

    My pitch for this movie: Now they've all graduated, the crew travels around Europe for the summer, having a series of wacky misadventures as Kirk hooks up with an alien in every stop.

    I'm happy about this!

    I was pleased to see a GOOD Star Trek movie with this last one. The last 2 TNG movies were just bad TV episodes stretched into feature films IMO.

    J.J. and company were big fans of the original ST2 from the early 80's. I think Khan could be a stretch but the introduction of Carol Marcus and Kirk's son David I could see happening! :)

    Problem with the TNG movies was they were action movies with drama actors. JJ obviously had action in mind from the start.

    My only request is that there be more McCoy please. Karl Ubran is too awesome (especially as Bones) to be underutilized. I know the first one was everyone's origin and everything so I'll let it slide.

    I prefer to have the trailers show space, but in the movie, they stay just in Europe on earth. Like, no space. Or maybe the end is them heading up to the Enterprise.
