Hey Everyone

I thought this would be a better way of keeping everyone informed of upcoming events and meetings in addition to the infdividual threads.

So to start it off

June 10th 7:30PM: Monthly Dinner Discussion at The Tick Tock Diner. 34th Street & 8th Avenue. This months topic, "How do you want to see Star Wars continue after Episode 3"

June 11th 7:00PM: MEPA Pool Sharks at Amsterdam Billiards, 77th Street & Amsterdam

June 19th 1:00PM: Monthly Meeting at MoCCA, 594 Broadway, Suite 401.

June 19th 3:00PM: Tremors Of The Force Fan Film Script Read at The Harlequin Studios.

June 26th & 27th: MoCCA Art Fest at The Puck Building SOHO.

Our next event will be our Dinner Discussion on 7/8/2004 at 8:00PM. The discussion will take place at the West Way Diner, 614 9th Ave between 43rd and 44th Street.

The topic for this months discussion is "What if they directed it?"

Would it be okay if Derek and I brought a few new people to the meeting? They don't have TF.N accounts, but they've heard about the group from us, and are interested in coming to see what it's like... Would that be okay with everyone?

 

Sure. If they're nice people, bring them along. The more the merrier.

Due to prior commitments from several members, we are making the August meeting this coming Saturday 8/21/2004. Time will be 2:00PM, location as usual will be MoCCA.

Oh well, cannot make the new date. I had lots of Goodies to bring too. Heh. Maybe in Sept.

 

Please note

Due to unforseen circumstances, we will not be meeting at MoCCA this weekend. We will be meeting instead at The Manhattan Mall Food Court. 33rd Street & 6th Avenue. Lower Level. The time will still be 2:00PM

Our next club meeting will be this Saturday September 18th 2004 at 1:00PM. We will be having it at the Manhattan Mall Fod Court. The mall is located at 33rd Street and 6th Ave, the food court is on the lower level.

I will be going to Manhattan this Saturday at 4, but since theres a SW Meeting, I can make it at 1.

I just need to know where to go from Port Authority.. hehe.. Im still trying to figure out subways and such.. and since I came from a very small city, I will definitely get lost without directions.

Hi! Welcome to the States, just be happy that you are not going to be traveling the subway in Boston. I love Boston since I am from that area, but the subway system is screwed up. The subway in Boston follows the streets and well the streets were originaly made by trails followed by cows.

To get from the Port Authority to the Manhattan Mall, the best way with out getting lost will be to take the streets. Walk down to Broadway then turn right. Keep walking about 9 blocks. You will pass Macys on your right.

If you still want to take the subway, take the A, C or E train downtown 1 stop to 34th street Penn Station. Exit at 7th Avenue & 32nd St and walk down 1 block to 6th Ave.

Funny you should ask. MoCCA is the Museum of Comic and Cartoon Art, and they are conveniently located at 594 Broadway, Suite 401, near the corner of Broadway and Houston.
