not sure if this has been up here yet, but here it goes.

"There's some utterly damaged particles to deal with
And if I stutter I'm sorry but it's hard to feel swift
When stuck in my stomach is a cannon ball anchor to lift
I've been pushing it down pretending it doesn't exist
Well this is what happens when you're pissed about being pissed
You dig yourself so deep you resist just to resist
And there's no way to get back experiences you missed
So start right now today and risk furiousness for bliss"

    Here we go:

    "You take away
    I feel the same

    You take away
    I feel the same
All the promises you made to me you made in vain
I lost myself inside your tainted smile again

Cause you can't feel my ANGER
    You can't feel my pain
    You can't feel my torment
    Driving me insane
I can't fight these feelings- they will bring you pain
    You can't take away
    Make me whole again "

Me and the fellas up here want to do a cover of this song. With our own spin on it, it would sound amazing.

staind mudshovel. Aidion used to do this song in his band.
I am pretty sure thats right.

    "will you lend yourself
    to beauty that will horrify
let me hide within you black
    the still inside your eyes
    deafened caught within a
cry so sensual as step by step
    i separate breath by breath
    i suffocate"

Hey, guys and gals, I need a favor...we all know the Police, right? Pretty decent 80's band.
Well, I was in Pac-Sun today and I heard a bad ass remake of one of their songs...but I can't remember how the lyrics went...I just know it sounded bad ass...has anyone else heard this song? I know this is kinda vague...but maybe some of the older guys might know the song...gosh-I think some of the lyrics went--ah, the song is called "Every little thing she does is Magic".
    Ha!
Bit I would like to know who remade that...whoever could turn that into a harder version and still sound good, I would like to hear more of them...

You've got the name of the song and the original artist right. It's called "Every little thing she does is Magic". Was it done to a reggae beat? If so, the name of the group is Chaka Demus & the Pliers. If it had a hard rock edge to it, it was probably a cover by a group called Ra. If it was acoustic and sort of classical themed, chances are that it was a guy named Andrew Wagner. If any of those sound like an accurate description, let me know and I'll see if I can get the info you need to find the album.

One of my favorite 80's moments: Eddie Murphy singing The Police's "Roxanne" in 48 Hours. [face_laugh]

Here's one that I've been really diggin lately. I'm not sure if it's been released as a single yet though.

If you think that a kiss is all in the lips
C'mon, you got it all wrong, man
And if you think that our dance was all in the hips
Oh well, then do the twist
If you think holding hands is all in the fingers
Grab hold of the soul where the memory lingers and
Make sure to never do it with a singer
Cause he'll tell everyone in the world
What he was thinking about the girl
Ya, what he's thinking about the girl, oh

A lot of people get confused and they bruise
Real easy when it comes to love
They start putting on their shoes and walking out
And singing "boy, I think I had enough"
Just because she makes a big rumpus
She don't mean to be mean or hurt you on purpose, boy
Take a tip and do yourself a little service
Take a mountain turn it into a mole
Just by playing a different role
Ya, by playing a different role, oh

    I'm hoping that's it, b/c here I go, boy!

"I have run to the ocean
    Through the Horizon
    Chased the sun
I've waited for the light to come,
And at times I would give up
    You have
Wrapped your loving arms 'round me,
And with your love I'll overcome.
    You have
Loved me when I was weak,
    You have
    Given unselfishly,
    Kept me from Falling...Falling
    Everywhere but my Knees!"

Indeed. I was somewhat impressed with the album. I had to pick it up out of sheer curiousity.
It's not bad. It sounds JUST like Creed. And Alter Bridge sounds JUST like Creed too.

AND, a small update on how things are going as far as the possibility of a real band. We were working through a bunch of the songs, and wow. We all agreed that 15 songs on a CD is feasible. I mean, I really hate it when you're waiting on a new CD from one of your favorites...and when it's released there's only like, 9 or 10 tracks. Come on.

We decided that IF that possibility comes for us, we'd have no less than 15 songs on a record.

And the songs are probably going to be arranged in this order:

    1. "Lone Wolf Syndrome"
    2. "The Sun Sets for You"
    3. "Fall from the Fly"
    4. "Wounds and how we all seek to heal them"
    5. "Razors"
    6. "Rip me Up"
    7. "Trauma of the Spirit(Instrumental)
    8. "Dumbfounded"
    9. "Carry On"
    10. "Driving the Blade Deeper"
    11. "Lost wishes"
    12. "Mindless"
    13. "Six String Shogun Rhapsody(Instrumental)
    14. "Dragons"
    15. "Light within the Darkness"
