Stand is on the way and the $30 dollar Anakin FX saber is working just fine...better than Tim's and Sal's.....but I'm sure it is only a matter of time. New rule for me, no more banging FX sabers Oh yeah the Luke is working great, sounds better than the Anakin and Vader.

I never move my Vader saber. It just sits up there on the stand in my SW room. The sounds on it are awesome, the slightest movement and it hums.

LOL! She said she had callouses on her hands after C II from dueling with her saber. Not too shabby.

 

The detachable blades are great. I wish MR would do that and stop making wimpy-bladed sabers. Dammit, we geeks want to go all medieval on someone's @$$ instead of waving our sabers around like some special-ed Jedi!

Well I called MR and told them about my Vader crapping out, and they started "a case" for me. The executives @ master replicas and in all their infinite wisdom have decided to lemme re-order a new Vader for $70!!!

PRETTY COOL HUH?!!?

So maybe I won't have to mourn my loss my for long!!

Well I have officially took apart my Vader FX. It's pretty cool looking, I haven't destroyed it and I can put it back together anytime, but it is really neat looking and put togeter well.....well except for the broken electronics....I am pretty sure one of the LED lights must have burned out and caused the meltdown

Well I got my extra Display stand for my now defunct Vader FX!!!! I bought one last Saturday when they were all working so my Annie FX could have a mount on the wall!!!! Oh well!! Can't believe we went a whole day without posting on the board WOW

Well, that's good - considering that my brother managed to snap the blade of my Anakin saber off at the hilt while dueling with Tim in the backyard.

If someone snapped my FX blade off, I would have yelled like Obi-Wan in TPM, when they struck down the coolest Jedi in all the trilogies. That's just wrong, but you can probably get a replacement for $30-$40 off ebay like I did.

It looks like NASA is working on a prototype for a future Jedi remote. The Personal Satellite Assistant is a spherical robot about the size of a softball that uses air jets to move in a microgravity environment. It reminds me a lot of the lightsaber training 'droid in ANH.

Dang. If NASA would sell these as toys (modified for earth gravity, with lots of LEDs), their funding worries would be sooooooooo 20th century.

 

It could also lead to those mind probe droids...great, another tool for those IRS audits!

So, do you think Lucas will get a piece of any of this technology SW has inspired..?

 

He should've sued Reagan over his "Star Wars Defense Initiative" when he had the chance.

The blade still works fine on the Anakin FX saber. The wires didn't snap, and the acrylic shaft broke pretty far down in the hilt. I should be able to splint it without it being too apparent.

Gotta have the new FX sabers. Great, now I'm about to go all Shatnerian....
