"Lord Nihilus, you escaped death by containing your consciousness within your armor. How?!"
    ?Darth Krayt

Now what armor does he refer to? Nihilus's possesions went with whatever was left of him in the explosion that destroyed the Ravager. His body dissolved in a red lightning leaving nothing behind. All that was left was his mask, which interestingly enough was taken by The Exile. Now if Krayt is right in this scene, could it mean that Nihilus was embodied in his mask?

My theory is that Nihilus is not a person, but is the mask. That the mask is far older than the person who wore it. It's possible a Sith embodied his spirit into the mask to immortalize himself, taking over whoever was unfortunate to try to wear it. Nihilus would entice a potential victim with the promise of power, only to provide an unquenchable hunger. What are your theories concerning this? Possible?

This is for non-Star Wars books only. Lit is a better place.

An interesting question but it belongs in the Literature or Games forum where the Expanded Universe is discussed. This forum is for discussion of non-Star Wars books and comics. :)
