Official CE Fan Force Party!

There was an awesome FF/501st/RL party at CIII, which I am sure will be repeated at CIV. It's usually in one of the hotels around the event, rather than in the event itself.

Do we think there will be one at CE? I know that CIII had not only the organisations themselves, but they had some of the stars attending as well.

 

As Jairen said, at C3 members of the Indiana FanForce, 501st and rebel Legion organised the party.
I'll try to find out if the UK Garrison is thinking about something. Even though I doubt that there will be any solid plans yet.

 

It would be really fun to have a party like this... the one at C3 was great. (Although, please, don't charge for the water!)

 

Well, I know I definitely wasn't on the water at that party, as you can both vouch for

 

I remember that the drinks were so expensive you needed a second mortgage to get drunk at that party (how did you manage it Phil, lol??)

 

Well, me and Verity were the strange "Englishmen" and we had a crowd of US people here on the board buying us drinks all night. I felt like a celebrity lol!

 

I'm sure we will all get that chance if there's a party at CE...

 

Yeah, I still have no idea who the other people we were hanging out with when we met Jairen and Veritas was...

Well, except Ray Park, when he showed up. With a baby.

We need to have a party like this at CE!

 

Although I doubt that Ray Park and his baby will show up again...

You have to make an offering under a Hazeltree during a waning moon. Problem is, you have to be sky clad.

 

Venues for an off site party - I think this would be a BRILLIANT idea....

As for venues pricing, do we all just chip in a bit or something, or will Showmasters be nice and do it for us?

I only have £5 at the mo but i would give it to the FF if we can all have a massive party!

 

Can I ask what the result of the discussions were please about a FF (501st/RL and others) party at CE? Some of the European Rebel Legion people are interested in a party too.

We're going to get some quotes for venues, although now that the show has moved to ExCel we may start looking in and around that area now instead. If we feel we can cover costs easily, then we hope to have one!

I'de definitely look into the hotels on the site. They must have some kind of function room. The FF/501st/RL party at CIII was in one of the attached hotels. They charged $20 a head for costs and that worked really well. Got a large group of people to turn up.
