Does anybody know which (if any) comic book artists will be attending the Celebration?

How many prints do you think could safely be transported in one tube?

At CIV I easily stored 6 art prints and 2 posters in one tube.

I think I was able to put up to 10 posters/prints max in a tube. I'd suggest getting a telescoping one for different width posters, that can change lengths and locks in position. Also check that the inside of the tube is smooth, not ridged or anything (I don't know why they would make it that way, if you want to protect an expensive poster?!). Normally, if I can't use my tube as a hand-carry, I place it diagonally in my large suitcase, cushioned by clothes.

Until I'm ready to frame them, I store them away from sunlight in one of those plastic upright gift wrap containers you can buy at Target, etc.

Great tip about the gift wrap container - never thought of that but will definitely do it as I have way too many prints and not enough framing money!

If the largest art is presumably 24x32, you can probably use a smaller tube than 43" - such as the 37" one.

Hey everyone, I went to C3 and C4 but unfortunately can't make it to c5. I REALLY want the print from Jerry Vanderstelt. Is there anyone willing to get one for me and either meet afterwards (I live in Orange County, CA) or ship it to me?

I live just north of you. Let's stay in touch, maybe I can get your print for you while I'm there.

    Cheers!

So many great prints released so far.

Fingers tightly crossed most of them come in under the $50 price point...

Got my print from Joe Corroney reserved.

No luck with the Trevas and Vanderstelt prints though (they are not accepting reservation requests).

How do you reserve a print?

Also, there are a bunch of artists added on starwarscelebration.com

BTW, if you email the artist or find them on Fecebook they might reserve a print. Not all are doing this. I know Trevas is NOT taking reservation and neither is Katy Cook.

Damn, it's going to get harder and harder to choose...

    My pics so far:

    Definite:
    -Chris Trevas
-Dave Dorman (assuming he has one)
    -Jerry Vanderstelt
    -Brent Woodside

Seriously Thinking About It (if I have the cash!):
    -Cat Staggs
    -David Rabitte
    -Joe Corroney
    -John Alvin

Brian's looks amazing though- it was some of his (unfortunately sold out by then!) pieces on display at Celebration 3 (as seen briefly in this video segment of my C3 Documentary) that convinced me that the Art Show was where my money was going for all future Celebrations. That being said, there's enough similarity of some elements his and Jerry's that I don't think I'd be getting both- and I like the cooler tones than the bright white better.

Jamie's and Lee's intrigue me, but I don't think I'll be able to afford that many prints.

For those who want to know, I emailed Jerry Vasnderstelt and his print will be $100. Still not bad for an awesome piece of artwork.

Not happy to hear that. But like you said, it is still worth it (same thing for Dorman's CIV art print).

So from the ones that are shown so far, the ones that hope to get (if I can afford them all) are as follows:

    Jerry Vanderstelt
    Chris Trevas
    Cat Staggs
    David Rabitte
    Kevin Graham
    Katie Cook
    Tsuneo Sanda
    Brian Rood
    Tim Proctor
    John Alvin

For the most part I prefer the ones with distinctive styles, such as Sanda, Staggs, Graham, and Cook.

Geez...I hope they are not all at that $100 price point.....I really want one at least but I don't know if I can convince myself (or my wife) that one print is worth that much....They are awesome work though.

I realize the vastness of selection at a show like this and that everyone has their particular budget. With this in mind, I'll be offering my print at an affordable price that should please everyone. I'll report on the final details once printing is complete.
Below is a mock up and not base on the final scan.

It looks cool, def interested in picking one up for my collection. I read that any artwork that doesn't sellout at the show will either be destroyed or may go on sale on starwarsshop.com, can you provide any info on how that works. Is it up to the individual artists or is that a shot Lucasfilm makes the call on what will go up for sale Post CV?
