Speculation Pitch your Episode VII story idea in 10 words or less

I can see it now... "Episode VII: Bare with us on this one."

 

Not sure about the whole plot of the movie, but the opening scroll says this:

"The Galaxy has known peace for three decades."

 

Old heroes sacrifice and triumph to save new hope.

 

My sentiments too. However the biggest reason for the jokiness is the 10 word restriction. How, in the world, are you supposed to even describe an idea for a 2.5 hr movie, let alone "pitch" it in only 10 words?

 

I agree with this. However, since Luke is in his 60's, the son would need be grown up by now. The same with any kids Han and Leia have.

 

The Evil Disney Empire cancels everything. Luke saves the day.

 

New Jedi face old nemesis and the torch is passed.

 

Palpatine and his new apprentice Darth Thrawn

 

Mandolorians awake ancient sith army, skywalkers deal with them both.

 

Mandalorians = Dark side Terrorists. Republic = America. New young Jedis = saviors.

Hmm, 10 words or less. As a screen writer I should be able to do this. Let's see:

Alien invaders engage in holy war against Skywalker's Jedi heretics.

 

12" subway. IG-88. Vacuum. Astroglide. Spoon. Chainsaw. Nutella. Pillowcase.

 

Here's a few contributions based on ideas I've thought about... 10 words is HARD though! I had them all as separate ideas but in fact, they could all work as one.

Ancient evil awakened with intent to destroy New Jedi Order.

Hired mercenaries raid jedi archives to steal mysterious forgotten knowledge.

Instead of Father vs Son its now Brother vs Sister.

Subplot about numerous assasination attempts on Senator Leia's life.

...

Ponda Baba with bionic arm seeks revenge against the Jedi.

 

The good guys will win in the end.

 

Generational transition and facing a powerful legacy.

 

The son of Jar Jar BINKS becomes a Jedi.

Ewoks on Hoth.

The NJO & New Republic face new threats: in & out.

 

Darth, you are NOT the father!

 

Probably the best scenario to go with, and it would mirror the OT, too.

Also, this was one of the few plotlines that were scrapped in the original draft - a Jedi Master leading his son and other young Jedi pilots on a mission to save the planet Aquilae from the Sith, or whatever it was.

 

Exiled Sith warriors invade from Unknown Regions, Jedi Sith War

 

Barney turns to the darkside and Jar Jar binks fights him! Only joking!

Luke skywalkers fights the remaining black sun organzaition and which it becomes bigger than before and wants revenge because of the death of its leader, prince xizor!
