    Just wondering your thoughts on Planet of the Apes (yes the new movie, not the oldens).

    Im not sure if I love it or just like it yet...it had a very Planet of the Apes ending, which I liked but was a bit of a yawnfest at times, not many times though...

    Anyway...what do you guys think?

    It was just .... average.

    I was bitterly disappointed.

    it was about 65 out of 100 on my scale it seemed to lack character progression I thought
    I was expecting a lot more but I guess tim burton is running out of ideas these days perhaps he should ge back the winning style of the nightmare before x-mas :)

    The way I figure it, Tim Burton knew he couldn't touch the original storywise so he went for a visual feast, which he delivered. I liked it. Hmmm, the sex scene was funny! There actually was some good animal behaviour stuff in there if you knew what you were looking at.

    Except that they were aparently evolved and still acted like uncontrolled animals.

    Don't get me wrongo...I loved it.

    I don't know, the fact that they still acted like apes upon occasion made perfect sense to me. You can't kill a couple of billion years of pure instinct after all.

    Pile of poo.

    Not only boring in places but annoying as well. What was the deal at the end when whatsisname (the monkey) was you know, and the thing and the other thing? Dud. Can't wait for next summer.

    <If I have given away anything I am sorry>

    Do I need to post a spoiler alert?

    [Delurk] I think far to many ppl were either expecting exactly the same film as the Heston version, or they were after Sleepy Hollow of the Apes, [/Relurk]

    It was well made and all, but in the end, a bit of a let down, I thought.
