Easy. You decide you're already qualified enough given the first year papers you passed (2 year Masters) to get a job, figure that the last 1/4 of your thesis isn't worth finishing, pack your bags and head home to your fiancee.

Now, 4 years later I don't even work in the same field I was trying to get the master's in (Oenology).

 

See kids, give up your education in favor of love, and you too can become a mod.
