I don't think so. Sith are free, they know what they want and they always do what they want. They take action. Not like stupid, nerdy Jedi and their stupid, nerdy Code.

Yeah, but they enjoy playing games. Even if they are mind games.

And they like to RPG: They command fleets and are military geniuses, the Jedi don't. I mean, they may not roll a dice, but fleet action is turn based.

They always have hidden bits, like all nerds, hiding away inside themselves for fear that people will use what's contained in this small space for their own means, so they shut it off from the world. Just like nerds.

And Sith pwn. Nerds pwn. Therefore, Sith = Nerds.

Jedi Code is less nerd and more Wannabe Superheroes.

    There is no...

See, I've forgotten it already. I can't be a nerd and forget a Nerdish code, can I? Thus, it isn't nerdish at all.

Isn't the Jedi code: "A Jedi shall not know anger, nor hatered, nor love" ?

    Nope:

There is no emotion; there is peace.
There is no ignorance; there is knowledge.
There is no passion; there is serenity.
(There is no chaos, there is harmony.)
There is no death; there is the Force.

The bracketed line appears only in KotOR.

    But that's the Jedi Code.

But in Attack of the Clones documentaries George Lucas explains that EpII poster as a foreshadowing line taken from Jedi Code. Here, there is nothing about love.

Maybe a little bit of ad-libbing on his part.

That is the Jedi Code, I think Lucas wrote it himself. And Passion and Emotion together = Love.

Exactly! I think that if the Council saw that it is time for some changes in the archaic system, not so many Jedi would have left the Order. Here, I'm also talking about Knights of the Old republic era. It is no wonder Ankin turned to the dark side.

Hence why by the end of the NJO era the whole of the Jedi Order has changed, and they embrace the whole force, including the Dark Side. Yay for Jacen Force Choking everything in sight! :p

Vector Prime. But that's not what I was talking about. NJO the series sucks. However, the Dark Nest trilogy that comes after yet is still a part of the NJO era is rather funny in that the Jedi can now do whatever they bloody wish :p

    [face_thinking]

It's not good in the style that the Stover books are, but it pwns pretty much all of the NJO series.

I got The Joiner king when I was in Zagreb and I bought The unseen queen when I bought the ROTS DVD. However, I haven't got time to read them.

Mistakes: this is the way they call them. The jedi commited some mistakes, but let's take a general look of the whole think:

Do you really think that the Sith are free??
A person dominated by anger an by negative feelings is not free, but a slave of himself, a person without self control...he event does not obey to his own purposes, 'cause he ignores what he really wants in life... We all know that when anger comes to your mind, you become blind and act stupdly...
Remember Anakin: he joined the Dark Side because he wanted to save his wife, and, at last, when the anger of the Dark overwhelmed him, he, though he loved her even over anything else, tried to kill her!!! (and actually did, in some way)

Yes, Anakin wasn't bound up with love anymore. it's funny, because of love, to which he was tied, he turned to dark Side, and this finally get him off love :p

Yup. It is all said. But hey, people do crazy things when they are in love. Anakin/Vader made a mistake, but don't we all? ;)
He is not a classic example of a Sith. He redeemed for his mistakes on OT. He had some love left in him, and that helped Luke to bring him back to light.

Nicely said, Amon! I agree that he made a mistake by truning to the Dark Side. I'm not justifying any of his actions, but at first he ment well.

This is a thread I've never posted on before. :p

I think the Sith are right... almost. But the longer I listen to Yuthura and Uthar in KOTOR the more convinced I become. What they say is more logical than some things Jedi believe to be the only-and-holy truth.
