That's enough to stop Skywalker. He cannot kill the Sith; he wants to turn him in to the Jedi. And so he does.

In the Communication Centre in the Jedi Temple, Mace gets a message about Obi-Wan's success. Suddenly, Anakin enters. He's in deep shock. He gives Mace the truth: Palpatine is Sidious!

Mace orders him to stay at the Council Chamber, and decides it's time to act against the Chancellor. As Yoda is on Kashyyyk defending the Clone Command Centre situated there, and Anakin cannot be fully trusted, Agen Kolar, Mace Windu, Kit Fisto and Saesee Tiin take a Republic Gunship to Palpatine's private office to arrest him...


It's official now. Mace is the biggest DUMB ASS in the whole saga.





Remember the Chosen One? The one the prophecy was about? He's supposed to...you know...kill the Sith...???

An he leaves him at the Council...

 

That's like going to a gun fight with a knife. You're right. Mace is dumber than a bag of hammers.

 

Agen Kolar, Mace Windu, Kit Fisto and Saesee Tiin take a Republic Gunship to Palpatine's private office to arrest him...

...and promptly get their rear-ends handed to them on a silver platter.

It's true in the GFFA, also. Nature weeds out the stupid. Natural selection.

 

It's a crying shame that Matt Stover's version of Mace Windu is the only one I like. Of course, that's not Mace Windu in Shatterpoint- That's Jules from Pulp Fiction with a shaved head and a lightsaber. You wouldn't be surprised to see the Mace in the films getting his rear end handed to him by an old woman wielding nothing but a large granny purse. Granny from "The Beverly Hillbillies" was more lethal than him.

What I find scary about that is how accurately they nailed all the characters. Especially Anakin and Padme.

 

The fanfilm has Anakin as Keanu Reeves, (the ftard whom all the "Lucas-raped-my-childhood", card-carrying fanboyz seem to want to emulate, (along with Vin Diesel)). I love that Obi-Wan is a flask-carrying drunkard. And Padme reminded me of the same character Jennifer Anniston always portrays (no matter what the title of the film.) But Palpy was my fave. Hilarious. Two thumbs, flipper, fins, claws, and tentacles up.

OK, and why haven't they invented synthflesh yet? The arm creeps me out. Man, poor Padme... It goes back to what we used to think she had to tell him:

"No glove, no love."

 

The mechanical hand is meant to illustrate his gradual slide to being "more machine than man", according to Lucas.

 

Would I turn him from my bed even with the arm? No.

Apparently Padme didn't either. Can you blame her? No.

Do I look at my man's hand while we are doing naughty things? No.



Moral to the story - when you have a man that looks like that - who cares about the arm?

And Ben is right - more machine than man.

Apparently, poor Anakin got lousy health insurance when he joined up with the Jedi. I'm thinking the Dark Side's HMO wasn't much better. They probably considered plastic surgery to make him back into his former self as "elective".
